Custom Firmware Enabler 3.10 Released.
Xenogears and becus25 of the dark-alex.org forums have released Custom Firmware Enabler 3.10, this update features improved flashing and uninstalling system and also has an added Spanish language setting. Custom Firmware Enabler loads M33 CFW via ChickHEN, so ChickHEN R2 is required for this. And a PSP with 5.03 Firmware.
How to enable POPS in Custom Firmware Enabler 3.10, First download Firmware 5.00. Start PSARDumper and decrypt the 5.00 Eboot. Now Copy the “pops.prx” and “popsman.prx” from the F0 directory to your memory stick under PSP/GAME/CFWEnabler/Pops. And then “Enable Pops Support” from Custom Firmware Enabler 3.10.
Custom Firmware Enabler 3.10 changelog:
- Improved flashing system, it’s now much safer.
- Improved uninstalling system, it’s now much safer.
- Added Spanish language.
- Added Net update.
- Improved startup (now a little faster)
- Reduced the file size of EBOOT.pbp
- Fixed internal bugs.

3.20 Changes:
- Now operating out of the plugins folder seplugins.
- Systemctrl own, and do not use any form of GENyUS.
- Now is the version 5.03 M33 – 6.

CFWE 3.20 is out man, and its wayyyy better (and safer) than 5.03GEN-A

I’m quite new to this. Correct me if I’m wrong:
1. You need the ChickHen hack to enable custom software to run? ChickHen changes the firmware. (Isn’t that enough to play ISO’s?)
2. Anyway. Once you did that, you need to install a CFW like GEN-A or CFWE.
3. Copy ISO’s and play
4. If PSP crashes, battery goes dead or you shut it down, you have to start at step 1 again.
If that is true, I wish for a permanent hack
Sucks to keep on doing all those steps again and again especially because the ChickHen hack fails often. Anyway, great to see homebrew on PSP3xxx is finally possible! Keep up the good job!

Hi, I’m just curious because I don’t want to break my psp-3000.. I’m currently using 5.03 GEN-A which means I’ve already flashed it with that, if I want CFE 3.20 do I just flash that or do I have to delete GEN-A or what?

On Psp 3000 you cannot run CFWEnabler 1.0 with chickHEN R2.
you got to run chickHEN R2 with CFWEnabler 3.01 or CFWEnabler 3.20.

this is not true. if you read it carefully they state they are making a gen that uses 5.50 it never states that it works on 5.50. unless davee or someone else produces a hen for 5.50 its not happening.

as long as you have 5.03 ofw keep trying.. sometimes it takes me 10-20 times before chickHEN r2 loads sometimes on 1 try
it’s all about timing. I wish they could intergrate it already but I will wait 4 that day.

hey can u first try to install the CFWEnabler 1.0 and flash it to ur PSP and try to install GEN-A that worked fine for me…
I am not responsible for any damage to your PSP if you brick it..I just do suggestion..
