Custom Firmware Enabler 3.60 Released

Xenogears and Becus25 have released another build of their famous . Version 3.60 now and brings us the following changes:

- Free UMD Region.
- French language.
- Network update fixed.
- Version patching improved.
- SHA1 verification of installation.
- CFW flashing system improved.
- Code improved.
- Pops flashing improved.
- PBP is now smaller.

      If ur screen looks like the one at the top of this page, then yes, continue. It will install it automatically and ask u if u want to run it, click yes and there u go.

    i’ve made xenogear psx game run now on my psp but now after using the popsloader and ive selected 4.01 prx ….the cso and iso games wont work even though ive deactivate the pops………y it wont work?

    There is another folder called DEV… where should i paste the folder… is it critical for the CFW to run????

    Just wondering, can I hack my psp-3000 with a 2gb memory card and then switch the memory card to an 8gb with custom firmware enabler?

      YES….. you can used both … i tried it already using 4gig then switch to 8 gig….

    i hav a psp slim TA-088v3 with chickHEN R2 and wen i try it does not install. it says in the menu Instalartion : not detected and custom firmware loaded : no. what can i do to install it????

      Are you sure you are in Chickhen r2 environment? or maybe you’re using a chickhen mod. or you have not flash and start CFWE…

        im using a chickHEN mod coz the chickHEN isnt working for some reason.oh so thats the problem.can u tell me y the chickHEN R2 isnt working???the mod works and i hav a green glitchy graphics but when i use the normal 1 it just freezes.i hav tried a lot of methods but the chickHEN doesnt work.

      ChickHen Mod will NOT work with CFWEnabler, you will have to either use chickhen R2 or chickhen R2 Mod 2 by miskit0 or else your CFWEnabler nor GEN-A will work right.

    i decrypt 5.00 EBOOT with psardumper
    i copied pops and popsman to PSP/GAME/CFWEnabler/Pops
    but i don’t know how to enable pops
    please help???

    I tried booting into ChickHEN R2 on my PHAT PSP and it finally worked but then I went to game and then CFW Enabler 3.60 but it didnt work. It started up then just went to normal screen again but its still in ChickHEN R2. What am I doing wrong?

    Ok, if that would be the case try to download the chickhen r2 mod2 from the link below and follow all instructions. Hope this will solve your problem…. i have tried it and it works.

    i want to upgrade from Custom Firmware Enabler 3.50,

    do i need to uninstall it first ? ( how do i do that? , delete the old CFWEnabler folder ?)

    or just copy the new 3.6 folder , overriding the old one and run ?

      It’s better if u uninstall older version of CFWE first b4 installing the new version of CFWE. Here’s how you do it..

      01. Shutdown your PSP, then turn on it and run chickHEN R2.
      02. While in chickHEN R2 mode, go to CFW 3.5 on your PSP. Hold R and run CFW 3.5.
      03. A ‘Unistall’ option will pop up, click to unistall the flash that you made using CFW 3.5.
      04. Connect you PSP to the computer and delete CFWE3.5 and replace it with CFWE3.51.
      05. Disconnect PSP and run the CFWEnabler 3.51.
      06. Click ‘Flash And Start’ to flash the CFWEnabler3.51 into your PSP3000.
      07. After flashing the PSP3000, you’ll be asked to start the CFW. Choose yes.
      08. The PSP3000 will be loaded with CFW and return to the XMB.

    umm… not sure if i’m doing this right but when i enter cfwenabler, i don’t see that menu… it did the first time when i installed it but after that i’ve never seen it again… is it suppose to be like that?

    but now i get error 80000004 when i try to run psx game
    and not just with cfwe i try it with gen too but i get the sae message again

      bro if you want to play psx games theres two app you can choose:

      1: use popsloader http://pspslimhacks.com/popsloader-easy-installer-for-500-m33-v11/
      just enable the plugins……….just disable the plugins if you want to play psp games

      2: using pops (pops.prx and popsman.prx )
      but depending on the psx games you have ….
      example was xenogears(eboot.pbp) will only run on 4.01 ofw(pops.prx and popsman.prx generated by psardumper)…..

    I have a problem with my PSP 3000. I load up ChickHen R2 and run the CFWEnabler and I install to my flash but every time I boot in CFW I get a black screen and then the PSP powers off. Can anyone help me with this? Thanks.

      dude..here’s what you should do..this is how i fixed it..
      1. format memory stick using computer
      2. format using psp
      3. run chickhen r2(or mod 2)
      4. run CFW enabler..

    Any one else having slow UBS transfer speeds? I switched from Gen-A and when I try to put a 7mb file on my psp it takes 42 minutes. ??? Any thoughts?

    Hi everyone,

    I need some serious help. First off, I have a PSP 3001. Now, stupid me, I updated, and now I am at version 5.51. From what I read, I can’t/shouldn’t load anything since ChickHEN and what not only work on 5.03.

    Is there a way to downgrade my psp version? Is my psp hackable? I would like to be able to play ISO’s. That would be my main reason for doing this…

    I am sorry if I am a noob. Any help would be extremely appreciated.

    I’m not new to the cfw scene, I had a psp 2000 that I hacked myself and it ran perfectly fine until I got water in it and well, I recently had to buy a new psp 3000 and I have it now hacked as well. What I don’t understand is how to run PSX games on the new psp. I could do it on the old one, but it’s been so long that I don’t know how to do it anymore. Can ANYONE help me? I’m running it on 5.03 m-33 and was wondering if its possible to run PSX games on it. HELP!

      yes it’s possible to run psx games on cfwe…….. but it depends on the game what firmware it used..example was the xenogears only runs on 4.01 firmware

      choose one of these apps.
      1. psardumper
      2.popsloader

        Okay to run psardumper, I put it in my game folder and ran it and put the pops.prx and popsloader.prx or whatever its called into my pops folder in cfe.

        But when I try to load the games they just show the ps1 intro thing then the screen just goes black and it kicks off and I have to run chickHEN and cfe again.

        And i just can’t seem to keep popsloader on in my recovery menu thing. I go to plugins in settings and enable the thing that says [POPS] to ON and go back a screen by pressing the O button but when I go back to plugins it is off again.

        Its a pain in the ass! lol

      you need to run ChickHEN R2 before you can even open CFWEnabler
      else your psp 3000 wouldn’t be able to read it

    Guys I need some help….. When i try to load/save any ISO/CSO file, my psp just go freeze and then shut down… Anyone knows how to fix this problem?? Thanks in advance =)

      open the recovery menu… change the umd driver to m33…

    Hey all, this might be a noob question but I don’t think it has been asked yet…… well…… anywho, I have a psp-3001 5.03 with chikHEn r2 and CFW 3.60. I have noticed that when the cfw is activated and I connect the psp to my pc I cant access my ISO folder. I can acces it while in Hen alone or just 5.03, now my dilema is that if I wanted to go in there and replace a few ISO’s with others I have to turn off my psp replace them and then either go into hen or just while in Hen, of course going into hen can be an arduous task in itself.
    Is there a way to exit the CFW or turn it off without having to turn my system off. If there is hook a brotha up with the info it would mos def make life sweet.

      i have a 3001, and i can access the iso folder while in cfw3.60. not sure why you cant.

      anyway going into hen isnt that hard anymore. try plugging the psp into the charger and wait a minute. when you turn on the psp go over to the hen folder, dont open it until you see the egg icon. then open it and scroll down slowly. works almost every time.

      and i seem to have better luck when i have no other pics on my memory stick, just the chickhen folder in PSP/PHOTO (had to create that file, as it wasnt there before).

    See when I’m in CFW3.60 and I plug my psp into my computer, when I look in the drive where my mem stick would be ( H:\ ) I get 3 folders H:\dic, H:\font, and H:\vsh nowhere in them do I find the my ISO folder. I have to turn off my psp if I want to replace a cso. Any one have any ideas?

      must be to much mcpot.
      you should see all of your normal folders.
      you could try to format the memory card from the psp while in custom firmware, i dont know if that would help because i did not have to and im running the same setup on my psp 3001.
      is it possible that you are looking in psp/game/cfw 3.60, instead of the root folder?

    I really wish that was the issue, but its not, I think it may be my computer….. who knows? I’m clicking on the drive that my psp is showing up as H;\…. when I’m not in cfw it takes me straight to the root folder when I’m in cfw its like the root folder changes to sum other shit. Eh, maybe i should invest ina bigger memory stick, put all my cso’s in there this 1 gb stick sucks balls.

    So i have ofw 5.03 and i have chickhen r2 installed and am able to use it and i also have this installed on my psp 3000. my goal is to play psx games on it. however when i load this i try FLASH POP MODULES but it tells me ERROR: CANT FIND POPS.PRX. i know that i need psardumper to extract the files from 5.00. but i am unclear as to how to do it exactly and also i tried to install psardumper onto my psp however it says it is corrupted. does anyone know whats going on or is there a better way to play psx games on a psp 3000.
