Custom Firmware Enabler 3.50 Released

Xenogears and becus25 have released Custom Firmware Enabler 3.50. This latest update brings us some improvements and bug fixes over 3.30.

Custom Firmware Enabler 3.50 changelog:

  • Fixed a bug with the game for the network infrastructure
  • Improved system for updating network.
  • Improved the Mac faking system
  • Improved system plugins
  • Enhanced the program’s inception, is now a second faster.
  • Improved the error handling on installation

Custom Firmware Enabler 3.50 for ChickHEN R2, gives you M33-6 features on your TA-088v3+ And PSP-3000′s. You need to use ChickHEN R2 to load this CFW Enabler. And Official Firmware 5.03. Firmware 5.50 is NOT supported!

    CFE updates are so fast! I wish they should make this permanent so we don’t have to repeat the process of loading chickhen.

      That’s next to impossible. They can’t even dump the pre-IPL and doing so will be an expensive process and hackers can’t afford it.. And even if they dump it, they actually need to find an exploit for it..

    is there any difference between this and Gen-A 5.03?…but,,5.03 gets really fustrating with the TURN OFF thing…lolz…if turned of the firmware will just get back to 5.03..@@..any help thanks..

      Your asking too much, be thankful that you can at least play ISO/CSO and PSX out of it.. If you want a permanent one then bad news, that won’t be happening for a long time.. Is it hard to just put your PSP in suspend mode?

    CFW Enabler 3.30 is working fine for me. But when I am trying to update to 3.50 it says WRITE ERROR. Once it froze while copying.
    I have tried all combination i.e. to uninstall (but never uninstalls) and then installing, Directly going for a flash.

      Chickhen is the only exploit for psp 3k and 2k v2 and that’s the reason why CFW enabler exist. If you want a CFW enabler for 5.50 then you would be needing a CHICKHEN for 5.50 first..

    I am trying to run final fantasy VIII on my psp 2000 ta88v3. I am using the CFWE 3.01 (since i see no reason to update yet) but it does not run at all. I pressed the game and black screen. I have flashed pops modules and I played Suikoden fine. Anybody know the reason why?

      I had this problem too, if you only gave pops installed it’s not going to show up ( IF YOU WANT TO ENABLE POPS YOU HAVE TO DO IT MANUALLY THROUGH THE .TXTs EX. GAME) AND THEY HAVE TO BE IN SELPUGINS FOLDER ON YOUR ROOT!!!!!

    After many updates for CFW, they should now make a HEN for 5.50. I’m still hoping that there would be one soon so when FF Dissidia English is released, I can already play ISO/CSO games.

    anyone know how to enable plugins.
    i have installed easy pops loader v1.1 for m336. it put a seaplugins folder on my ms root. inside of it are popsloader.prx, pops text document, and a folder called popsloader. whan i go to enable plugins, it states that there are no plugins error. what am i missing?

      You need to turn off your psp, restart ChickHEN, then restart CFE after installing a new plugin.

    Ok guys I just downloaded the 3.50 enabler. I have a psp 2000 with the third motherboard. Using chicken hen and this enabler. My question is I went into settings and it says no plug ins detected. Are these not loaded or so I have to get them somewhere else. Do I need them??? I did a test run on a cso game and I was able to play it too.

    hey guys could u help me a bit bcoz when i tried to load a patched ctf crisis theme,my psp crashed though before that all patched themes worked fine but now i cant load cfwe or gen any more as after uninstalling and flashing ,when i start it , my psp freezes and crashes.i was using cfwe 3.50 at that time on my psp 3004 but now no version loads at all.plz help.

      BRICKED…. No i dont know seriously but i think that ctf flashes your psp , And psp 3000 cant be permanently flashed or they get bricked. Does it still work wothout hacks ???

    Canceled updating, so it’s bricked, I think, I will have to wait until the IPL is 100% cracked.
    Natigil yung updating, kaya bricked na, sa tingin ko, tuloy, maghihintay ako ng MATAGAL hanggang 100% cracked na ang IPL ng PSP 3000. That’s it, ayun.

      download any iso/cso game and past into your memorystick in iso folder!

    Can someone update R2 first? Lots of psp user has a problem loading chickHEN R2 than chickHEN R1 thats why “i think” most psp gamers use CFW Enabler 1.0 than 2.10 and above :( and im still one of those who still using chickHEN R1 and CFW Enabler 1.0. I cant even update my psp 2004 into 3.20 cfw enabler due to hard time “VERY HARD TIME” loading chickHEN R2. I do lots of tips and tricks and suggestions but had no lucky to load chickHEN R2 in my psp 2004 “US Version Piano Black”. Anyway Thank you for all the effort especially to Xenogears & Becus25 for releasing CFW Enabler to give chance for those people who has psp slim / 3k to play backup games “iso” to their beloved psp :D I hope theres a smoother R3 chickhen to be release ASAP. PEACE TO ALL.

      Chicken R2 did the same thing to me at first , Took many attempts before getting it running… One day i tried for over a hour and it didnt worked… Then it started to work more easily . Then every shot worked….
      I changed My memory stick ( bought a 4gb one ). Couldnt load ChickHen R2 easily. Then everythiing got smoother over time…
      Do like me , Try and try again until it will load all the time.
      When it was hard to load i keeped pressing Select and tryed to load chickHen R2 , Seems that it worked for me but who know if it really works ???

    Please help me….
    i went to a repair shop who says that they can upgrade or downgrade psp units, i ask the technician if he can hack my new psp 3004 and he said yes.. so after he work on my psp the hack was ok but told me not to turn it off coz the psp will rebooth again and he will have to work on it again.. The big problem is, now my UMD is not working, wont even play any other UMD.. can some1 tell me what happened to my umd ? and why is it not working anymore? did he F***ED up on the process of hacking it? or did he do something wrong with the psp program that made my umd useless??? PLS help.. THANKS A LOT MODS. and to the people who will leave a comment on this..

    OR going back to CFWEnabler 3.30. The go to “Settings>Configurations”, then scroll down to “UMD ISO MODE” and set it to NORMAL. :) TADA!! :)
