Updated 15/Sept: Nuer0n has updated these CFW’s to version 1.4. Whats changed:

Fixed USB Connect in Recovery menu.(05g only).
Update VshMenu.

You can download the updated 1.4 version below.

Neur0n has released Custom Firmware 6.60 LCFW / CFW version 1.3 builds. The Lite verions is for non flashable PSP like the PSP-3000 and PSP Go series. All original fat and slim models (PSP-1000 and PSP-2000 Not TA0v88v3) go with the Custom Firmware 6.60 ME 1.3 non lite build. Thats a perm firmware for your flashable system.

    @dimmy im not comparing PRO/ME or w/c is better since both have their pros/cons and its up to the USERS where they are comfortable with.Either way they can just boot from neither of those two so stop being an elitist that you are.Im just stating that its UP TO THE USERS if they want to have the latest cfw where im one of those who likes to have the latest cfw on my psp may it be PRO/ME.

    This is how the PSP SCENE should have been along time ago…Full Open Source Software since most of the tools for making homebrews are free to use aka the UnOfficial PSP Sdk. Wololo, m0skit0 and all other devs support this idea of open software. This is one of the reason why pro is awesome.

    Neur0n is part of TEAM PRO now, and he does share his code with Coldbird and VF i.e his code on the IPL flasher in PRO’s repository.
    
    PROs and CONs… ?!?
    Just try both of them and see if it suit your needs.
    PRO can be customized since it’s open source, i.e codestation’s *.zso(iso gzip support)…
    ME well it’s based on M33…It’s pretty much what people loved about M33 + Neur0n’s own features.

i like 6.39 ME i’ve already compared my previous 6.20 pro with permanent to 6.39 ME you will see the difference by playing games ME is much smoother rather than pro. pro have a little bit lags if you see closely especially in nba2k11 games..

  You have to be on a CFW to install this. I would suggest downgrading to some OFW where a CFW/HEN/LCFW has been signed for direct installation, then updatung from that state to 6.60 ME by following the directions in the readme.

  You can just add the picture to the music you already have yourself, Like I did. It’s really not that hard, just look on YouTube. Also you don’t need it, you want it~

I’ve installed it – and am having fun developing my text editor.

However, how do you go about writing a CFW? I’m currently designing my own OS, so x86 seems easier to handle. Perhaps I should start with the MIPS manual? Anyone helping me on this point please?

  Read the data sheet is what you have to do. Just takes time and patience. Also knowing how to program in assembly is very useful for the PSP if your trying to do CFW.

it seems i always get black screen whenever i load my psp when i updated the fw to this cfw, (from 550 gen d3-2, already edit the version) and the only way to get my psp load is eject my ms and after it loads normally isnert the ms again can someon help?

  if you updated from 6.39/35/20/5.xx or older CFW’s, ALWAYS DISABLE/REMOVE/CHECK if it works/FIND NEWER PLUG-INS for the LATEST CFW …..
  
  so for now delete all your old plug-ins or try to disable them all, its probably the CXMB or something else…..

  I had the same problem, after changing from prom to me.
  solution
  copy your complete mem card to computer
  ex copy g:\*.* (meaning all files and folders to pc) c:\memcard\*.*
  point is copy (backup all files to pc however you want to.
  format card complete in psp menu
  copy all files and folders back to mem card.
  it fixed my problem.

  I think ME is for fully hackable PSP’s like the phat (1000) or PSP slim (2000/2001). pro is for non fully hackable PSP’s like the PSP 3000′s & GO’s :3. Probably wrong on this. . .

    Yeah you’re right that you are wrong, you can use both ME and PRO on all PSP 1000,2000,3000,GO the only difference is ME has 2 versions the lcfw 6.xx ME is for unhackble psp and the cfw 6.xx ME is for fully hackable while PRO has CIPL_Flasher to make it permanent on fully hackable psp but you can use the 6.20 PRO permanent patch on unhackable psp that supports firmware 6.20……

  Download Lite Custom Firmware 6.60 ME 1.3 (LCFW) above unzip it, read the instruction on how to install it
  it’s not that complicated after you install it, go to system settings then system info it should be 6.60 ME-1.3
  if it is, connect your psp to your pc then copy whatever game you want to the ISO folder in the root of your memory stick (the root of the memory stick is where you see the PSP,MUSIC,PICTURE,VIDEO folders if you don’t have ISO folder just make one) then disconnect your psp to your pc then play the game

I think there’s bug on it… I was able to play tekken 6 until yesterday, where it loads forever and theres no light on the mem stick indicator.

Can someone explain the differences b/t DA’s 5.0M33 with 6.30 plugin, PRO FW, & ME FW? All games can be patched, so game compatibility can’t be an advantage for one over another.

I have a psp 3001, 9g, and it has firmware 6.39. Do I need to update it to the OFW 6.60 and then install the LCFW 6.60 ME? Or dont update to the OFW 6.60 and go straight to installing the LCFW 6.60 ME? Im a noob in this as you can tell… so your help will be much appreciated

Hey i got psp-3004 and i have installed …..Custom Firmware 6.60 ME 1.4 (LCFW)……Many games are perfectly working…but some games like Rugby League Challenge [English][PSP][EUR][WwW.GamesTorrents.CoM]….then need for spped carbon city….like big games size more thaan a GB which i downloaded from torrents not working…..IS any solution for it……And another is sometimes this custom firmware is uninstalled from PSP …then again i should install the softwares…Kindly give a solution for it guys………

  I have it working with an N1001 model and it’s fine as long as you put it in sleep mode. if you turn the PSPgo off, then you’ll have to reinstall the patch (which only takes ~1min though… then you’re pretty much set once you get all your SEPlugins arranged for how you want your system to work. I’ve got SePlugins manager and Savedata En/Decrypter+freecheat because my old saves like to get messed up when I change firmwares. it all works just as well as an M33 PSP until you shut it off. so no, it can’t be permanently patched, but to patch it again is easy enough that its not a big deal.
