Woaa…Guys! Finally its out! The new PRO-B6 Custom Firmware by VF and Coldbird. Now also with 6.39 Support and a bunch of features. Now licensed under GPLv3. This Custom Firmware has everything you need like Iso/Cso Support, Plugin & Homebrew Support, a VSH & Recovery Menu and much more.

Update: Just one day after the CFW 6.XX PRO-B6 releases, the PRO Team (Coldbird & VF) releases a fix for these three Custom Firmwares: 6.20 Pro-B6, 6.35 Pro-B6, 6.39 PRO-B6.

Changelog: MONDAY 30. MAY 2011: PRO-B6 was updated with a tiny patch concerning the NODRM engine. Should you experience trouble with DLC please redownload the binary from the Google Project Website.

*Fixed a bug in nodrm that causes KHBBS (Chinese hack version) freeze.

  maybe you a using the 6.39 OFW update for slims and phats? you need to use the OFW update for GO’s, then you can install PRO-B6.

How do I make this permanent on 6.20? And how do I know if it is possible to make it permanent? I don’t know what is the G model of my PSP 3004.

  there is a test on the patch… press x then x again to test. if the patch brings you to the xmb, then it is possible to do a perma. just run the patch again then press x then o to do the patch… most psp now are compatible with the patch, even my psp 2006 and 3004… hope it helps….

    Yeah it is compatible with my psp the patch run well. and turn my 6.20 to 6.20prob6 when the problem is that when I switch it off it always return to its ofw.

i have a psp 6.20+prob5 i noob from this thing but how can I make it perm in my psp i try to run those include in the XMB. First I run the update file then the permanent patch, then the fast recovery? then when i switched it off it came back to 6.20 ofw w/o prob5 help. I’m thinking of running which first .plss help

  run the update file then the perm patch. don’t run the fast recovery, that’s only if you don’t use the perm patch.

    when you run the perm patch it first asks you if you want to install the patch, then it asks you if you want to test. if you press X to test, its not installed just testing. you need to run the patch again and press X again for question one & O for question two.

which is better 6.31 pro or 6.39 pro b-6.pls reply asap i have a psp 3004 6.31 pro and can this run all the stuff that 6.31 pro can run.like dos box and pspwxp and other ports homebrews and games and can this delete any thing from my psp like save data or software or photos music etc

  6.20 pro-b6 with the perm patch is the best.
  
  you can downgrade to 6.20 and test your homebrew. then if it doesn’t work (not likely) you can always update back to 6.35 or 6.39.
  
  just make sure you UNINSTALL whatever CFW you are on before you proceed.
  
  and it wont format your ms. you data is safe.

Hi I’m thinking of joining the psp community but before i jump aboard I’m after some answers 1st. Was planing on getting a psp go and wondering if I can use both internal and external memory for my game iso’s? Also is iso’s compatibility an issue with the psp go or it’s all the same and what should work on a psp slim will work on a psp go? Thanks

So we can ONLY permanently patch 6.20 PRO-B6 into our PSP’s right, by installing it straight from OFW 6.20?
(I also heard 6.35 works as well?)
And B6, like TN-HEN, fully supports homebrew along with plugins… right?

Ok when i start the proupate in the psp game folder, it only was a black screen and nothing. Is this a bug or something? PLESE HELP. Should i totally earase adn format my memory stick?

  it happened to me.. twice.. running the update of B6 and B5…i was a PRO-B5 user that time . then i switched to B6 when this BLACK SCREEN happened to me.. so i thought it was a bug.. so i switched to B5 again thinking that there might be a bug on B6 that is still not fixed.. and the same thing happened.. black screen.. then “PRO-B6 & TN-E” (a name of a guy here ,dont know if i spelled it right) helped me about this.. he said that after (if you are on permapatch) uninstalling the PERMANENT PATCH. you should run the UPDATE folder (of your current cfw) then press triangle.. then delete all of those three and put the new three folders on PRO-B6.. then it would work fine.. if this doesn’t work.. try charging your psp at its 100%.. i remembered also that when i am trying to install PRO-B6.. my psp has low battery.. at 11%

  NO. YOU MUST HAVE SOME OTHER CFW OR HEN ACTIVE FOR IT TO REACT THAT WAY. YOU HAVE TO UNINSTALL IT FIRST, THEN REBOOT YOU PSP TO OFW, THEN RUN THE PRO UPDATE.

I’m running 6.20 PRO-B6 (non-perm) and purchased the Final Fantasy VI PSN game. When i tried to run it an error comes up saying “The game could not be started ‘FFFFFFFF’”.

I dunno what i could do to sort this as its the official release of the game. Has anybody else had this problem?

  only 6.20 has the permament patch. never run the permanent patcher on either 6.35 or 6.39 ..it will.. i think brick your psp..

  download the 6.20 PRO-B6 … you can see three download links.. one is for 6.20, 6.35 and 6.39… donwload the one that says 6.20.. unrar the .rar file you downloaded .. after that.. you’ll see three folders PROUPDATE, fastrecovery and the permament patch thingy.. put those folders inside the GAME folder.. you can see that inside PSP folder.. you can see these folders on the XMB where you play or run games.. run the PROUPDATE and NEVER either of the TWO (the permament patcher and the fastrecovery) for safety reasons.. you can see UPDATE on the ICON on the XMB.. run it then after that.. welcome to the world of LCFW bro.. keep in mind that when you turned off your psp.. you have to do this process all over again.. it will only take you 10seconds. its worth it just to play downloaded games good luck

  IV’E TRIED IT AND IT WORKS FINE FOR ME ALSO. CAN’T WAIT FOR THE FINISHED VERSION.
  (3000 3g ALSO) THE CHANGELOG INCLUDES: UMD ISO MOUNT(VSH), MS SPEED UP(RECOVERY MENU), MS SPEED BUFFER(RECOVERY MENU), AND A FEW OTHERS…..

hope popsloader will be compatible soon with this or they cant make it happen…either way they try atleast make popsloader run with pro-b.

does anyone experienced this..? my psp CRASHES when viewing the DLC costumes of my characters in final fantasy duodecim.. when using the NODRM instead of the nploader.prx… so.. i tried switching on activating my nploader.prx and then turning off nodrm and voila.. i can now view the DLC costumes.. too bad i still have to do these process just to view the DLC costumes of some of my characters. its a very very tiny tiny tiny problem, hoping it could be fixed.. but still.. all are fine on duodecim….

Is the 6.35 PRO-B6 like a HEN? Is it temporary and if yes can it run games higher than its firmware. Eg. like run a 6.39 game on 6.35 firmware? Also it holds plugins and u do not need an iso loader to run ISO/CSO? PLZ answer plz. Thankx in Advance!!

i using the firmware 6.20PRO-B6 …. but i think the popsloader is inculded coz it load most of the psx game i play… but it cant load the FF9 when it start than he goes black screen…. how to solve it…

  That error is similar to the Final Fantasy VI problem i have where the game could not be started. Except it does this on PRO-B6 and TN-E (running 6.20).
  
  Im really surprised nobody else has flagged this as a problem cos it does this on my brothers psp too with both CFW’s.

    any solution to it to get to play it… last time i play it on firmware 5.03 hen it can play wif a popsloader for the ff9 but not the latest psp game so i upgrade it and now… ff9 cannot play the popsloader for pro-b6 haven hav yet

Sir VF and Coldbird problem with usb, the auto connect doesnt work,if manually connect the computer doesnt recognize the usb devices yet u have to uplug and connect again.kindly fix this problem tnx
