Custom Firmware 5.55 TMX-1 is a fake!!

Update: Due to our testing and the fact the original install file included an Mp3. We have labelled this Custom Firmware 5.55 TMX-1 nothing but a cheap fake. PSP-1000 users result in the same thing. Nothing. Shame on …. If its not a fake, by all means prove us wrong .

None of these would insure 5.55 CFW would boot, not even a version fake could work.

Due to the recent interest Team MX have received in regards to their CFW 5.55 TMX-1, they have released 5.55CF TMX-1 Beta. This installer installs 5.55 firmware components at various points in the flash0 of your PSP. Since its touching flash0 there is a risk of bricking your PSP. And Team MX have noted that this has been only tested on a PSP-1000. Also not that this is a beta and not fully tested.

If you try this on a PSP-2000 TA-88v3 or more. Plus a PSP-3000 you could risk a permanent brick. Don’t come and cry to us as we have warn you!

In a few hours I’ll attempt to install this on my PSP-2000 TA-85 and post the results plus clear installation instructions if it works!!

Edit: I ran the installer and installed this to my Flash0 and reset my PSP-2000 TA85. No changes, nothing happened! I guess it could be PSP-1000 only? Also why the hell did they padded the rar file with an MP3 to make it look like a legitimate size. I smell something fishy!

Custom Firmware 5.55 TMX-1 Release notes:

We note this is just a Beta, the final version is still in development.

This package installs 5.55 firmware components at various points in the flash0 of your PSP and has only been tested on a PSP 1000 with CF M33.

We recommend you do one dumpee of the nand of the PSP system or a direct copy of flash0 somewhere safe on your PC.

To conduct a proper installation place your PSP with the USB on flash0 and proceed to the installation of this package.

Due to lack depruebas PSP systems of other models we are not responsible for any total or partial damage to your PSP, install this package at your own risk.

Installation:

Follow the steps in the setup and choose the destination folder being as follows:

X: \ vsh \ etc

where X is your PSP’s flash0 put in USB mode.

Not really much change except that your PSP is version 5.55 but now with all functions of the M33.

This Beta was sent to several PSP users who asked both Youtube and on our Blogspot and achieving positive results were achieved running the GI Joe, among others.

      Ok I tried this on my PSP-2000 TA85. Nothing happened. I will try coming from 5.50 GEN-B now. But it could be PSP-1000 only at this stage? Any one with a PSP-1000 and a Pandora battery (just in case of a brick) would like to try this? And report the results. But then again the original download archive had an mp3 inside of it, as to full the rar file? Why the hell do that ??? I’m beginning to think its a fake!

      Any PSP-1000 users can prove me wrong?

    I REALLY hope that this will work on a psp 3000 with OFW 5.51, I’m new to the whole custom firmware scene on the psp so I’m gonna need some help with this

      DON’T try it until you hear that it will work because you might just turn end up turning your psp300 into a really pricey paperweight. There hasn’t been CFW installed directly onto a psp3000 yet so this probably is no different. If you don’t know what you’re doing you should def wait.

        it is not the sd card but the internal memory that ruins the system if you write to it incorrectly. DON”T try it until you are sure it works. Good luck.

        Its not n00bs I find annoying. Most noobs just want to get in on the action and gain knowledge that can benefit them in the future, but haven’t ever encountered the information they need. I am 100% sure that zebular beats his psp against his head all day, then boots up his computer with much difficulty, due to the brain damage. Then he finds this site flocks to a fake cfw then posts stupid fucking comments and asks stupid fucking questions for which he probably expects no answer and also does not acknowledge answers when given because, he is stupid.

        I for one never doubted ChickHEN i bought a 3000 to replace my v3 2000 if i was gonna have cfw’less shit i wanted better shit. but It worked great for both units. when pandora was made I hardmodded my battery to flash my 1000. I am not only for m33 team, but a believer in any possible cfw but i called the bluff on this shit while watching the proof vid. the person on the video was an XMB virgin,no 5.55 ISO, no 5.50-5.55 infoboard, pathetic 5.55 cfw version & system spoofs the list goes on…

      This does nothing, I just tried this with my PSP 1000 and, as with the PSP 2000 test, nothing happened after the reset. This firmware is fraud. :/

      There is people just tried. BTW, the file contain a 5MB Mp3 audio file which is totally useless.
      There is a installer about 400KB looks like fishy, actually useless.

      awesome… so I’m pretty much stuck with 5.51 forever, I even bought MOH HOPING someone would use that as a way to make a CFW installer. Good thing I wasted the money on a sub par game.

    I did it on my PSP-2000 TA85 and All it says my system software is 5.55 but Soul Calibur doesn’t work but all the rest of my stuff still does. Seems more like a Spoofer.

      Under System Settings and System Info im actually still at 5.00 M33-6. But when I try to Update it says No Need to Update your system software is already 5.55. “SPOOFER”

    The video itself is making it obvious that it’s a FAKE….It doesn’t show any iso game..that can be played in 5.55 firmware..instead a Need For Speed Carbon…ugh with 3.80??This is a fake firmware…why add an Mp3???? That’s way too strange………

    Guys to play Soul Calibur you need to make sure your memory stick is an official memory stick from Sony, and not a spoof or copied 16GB one. 4GB works perfectly.

      pandora will not work on psp 3000 and downgrades are not currently possible on the 3000

      I have test SoulCalibur EURO version and it works on my PSP 2000 with 5.50 GEN-B you just have to
      Enable this option from Recovery Menu: Execute BOOT.BIN in UMD/ISO

    We have it working without save on PSP slim. We used a FAT formatted memory stick to get it to play without having the load error. However this update doesn’t work with slims, it did work however with our PSP 1000′s so go try it for yourself or go cry by yourselfs.

      There must be some other factors as well because there has been mixed results on the Slims. I temporarily installed 5.50 gen-b and everything on my slim and still got the loading screen with bouncy numbers.

      all this garbage does is spoof the psp into making the games think you have 5.55 ofw installed. it is not cfw, just a spoofer to trick games to run and yet still fails. this also may corrupt your flash0 on psp making it total useless and broken. never mess around with the flash. always backup your nand if you do. team bs never wrote warnings about flash0, only “use at your own risk”. stay away from this crap.

    There’s a new version of the European Soul Calibur: Broken Destiny. No bouncy numbers. No messed up saving. And its working on my PSP 3000. Can’t say where I got it cause I copped it off my brother.

        Apparently theres no story mode in this game. Even with the addition of new characters and the toss-up of Kratos. How will I know why hes in SC? Apparently this really is Soul Calibur: Broken _.
