Team LDX has released Custom Firmware 5.55 LDX Beta. And no doubt because of all the cries of it being a fake. But is it? That’s still unknown, however I did manager to install it, I can view the VSH and Recovery etc. But my Memory stick doesn’t read, I cannot run a UMD, internet etc with this CFW 5.55 LDX Beta installed. But so far we have gathered that they have released this unfinished beta as proof of the Teams Work.

Thanks to Shadowintel for the tip off & 2real for the translations from Turkish. So far from this beta a few things are working. For example, the LDX recovery and LDX VSH menus. But still not 5.55 Firmware games. This apparently will be fix in a few days time when they have a full release ? Now I’m not claiming this is 100% legit or anything but it is interesting and their has been some interest in this.

Below is a video I recorded installing this in my PSP-2000 (TA-85v1). Note I edited the video on the flashing part as this took around 1-2 minutes to complete. But after flashing I soon discovered that I can’t access my memory card, UMD or internet! Its very much a beta.

Installation instructions: (Thanks again to 2real)

You must have the latest CFW (5.50 GEN-B2) installed. Then he says you put the downloaded beta file into the GAME folder I’m assuming its in the UPDATE folder within that. Then you run it via the Game section in your PSP. When the installer begins you press X and wait for it to install. When it is finished your PSP will shut down and when you switch it on you should have the Beta CFW running

    Well it’s done… I’m just writing down how to hack the PSP with Ta88v3 using the hack I made cause I can’t upload it right now…

    Basically you guys can download the MOHH exploit and modify them yourselves I’ll post how to do that…

    I’m still writing it down so…

    The psp I have now is the one with the Ta88v3 I sitll love the phats its allot easier to mod…….I never had any major issues with the phats as I am seeing with the slim models to mod….

    LDX CFW is released! But it is apparently just a simple mod of 5.50 GEN and doesn’t actually boot anything.

    Guys, The need for CFW 5.55 is really great now. Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2 has released and it needs 5.55 to run. Gran Turismo has also been released in Mininova. If any developer is working on this CFW please..HURYY UP!

    as far as i read.. what justin said is just plain not possible.. i hope it is though!!!being stuck at 5.03 kinda sucks.. at least the theory of his idea suggested the possibility of up to 5.55 on the cursed mobos =.=

PSPFan has cleared it as safe since it is on his site just type in MOHH exploit look at the youtube video and if you do download the exploit make sure it is the updated version. Justin had us all going I thought that it was a new exploit that he was coming up with but he is fake as LDX

    With the MOHH exploit there is no e- loader to run cfw on it from what I saw……

    I’m so sick and tired to see always that there’s some jerks claiming to work with new cfw, and that later it shows up only to be a fake!?? Really guys it seems that SONY maybe has won the batlle preventing these cfw to work withe the newes psp games. I mean obviously come on, dax has either been paid with a amount of money only to stop temporaly his business, or to be sued. I mean it man, if it doesn’t comes out any cfw 5.55 or 6.00 i’ll stopp playing psp for good.

    ultimakillz has a detailed tutorial on all models of the psp this is the bible of putting cfw on the psp I would suggest to all to read that tutorial it is the best that I have ever seen it is filled with all the info and has all the answers to every possible question with cfw for the psp..

    Hey, I have 5.5 original version….. What to do to install the 5.03 custom firmware (because it isn’t fake)???? I want to play some games that are 5 version and lower, and I don’t want 5.5 or higher…… I tried to install the custom firmware 5.03, but it says that my system software of my PSP system is version 5.50. There is no need to update……… What to do??? And I JUST WANT TO PLAY ISO FILES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Michael1239 just read the tutorial that I have mentioned above once you are on ofw above 5.03 you cannot install cfw it all depends on the model psp that you have and the motherboard that it carries you may be able to use a magic memory stick and a pandora battery with a psp grader but still that is a 50% chance that you can brick your system just wait for the release of a new cfw or even as to a loader that will work with the MOHH exploit.The MOHH exploit works but there is no loader at this time that will allow for cfw to placed on to your psp the loader is being made at this time but it is open source code that is hard to make and it will take some time to perfect it.So my friend you are on 5.50 just wait I came across an exploit that may work on your firmware but it has not been proven to work.Unless you see PSPFan say that there is 100% safe way to put cfw on your psp with your current firmware the it is safe if not just wait…..

        Yes, with a 1K series, you will not have any problems with new CFW working. Only problem you’re going to have, is getting CFW to start with, since you are at 5.50 Official. You’ll have to have a Pandora battery and MMS, until/unless a new exploit is found to allow installing CFW in Official higher than 5.03.

    If you have the 1000 model psp then you are in luck all of the 1000′s are completely hackable you can go to the Ultimakillz’s PSP Tutorial on How to Install CFW on Any PSP it is on the main page of this site and follow the instructions its noob friendly best of luck to you and enjoy psp hopefully the new cfw when released should work on all psp’s we just have to wait and see……

    devilfox please stop encouraging Justin…. there are only 2 possible outcomes 1) he saw everyone requesting and decided not to release due to not liked being pressured or 2) he is a fake.

    I am not implying which one he is…. i am only stating that n00b81 posted that what justin says is not possible.

    This leaves 4 options for justin 1)acknowledge he is a fake , 2) prove everyone wrong by releasing the exploit and eloader, 3) get emotional and decide to keep the eloader for himself because he does not like being pressured 4) change his screen name or ignore his previous posts ever existed.

    Given the fame that comes with releasing the exploit.. i think option 3 to be kind os stupid…. and 1 and 4 to be about the same..

I have a program that makes my memory stick into a MMS…. Can the ultra pandora installer v3 make and a pandora battery????

    Just wait for the psp go to launch and you will see lots of releases for mods, exploits, e-loaders even cfw just be patient if these are released before the go is released then sony can hold back their release and then they can patch the exploits so that they would not work…..

    vampire -> i concur voodooman’s statement.. i wouldnt be surprised if the cursed mobo’s securities have been hacked within these few months but not released in light of waiting for psp go… For Fame or fortune.. the first hack that cracks the GO will truly receive glory… The hackers wouldn’t jeopardize their chance on this glory with only 3 days to go ^^ .

    NOT to much of fortune per say.. but more of fame.. The MOHH exploit was patched after 3 firmware updates.. Either sony did not see it or they thought it was not worth patching .. yet… ASSUMING it is reason (1) .. if any group releases an exploit they risk sony patching it BEFORE go releases and not after.. which elimiates any possibility of having an immediate hack for GO. Thus eliminating their 5 minutes of fame ^^ . Of course theres also the chance that there are no exploits or cfw and the hackers have simply not cracked it yet.. (though i doubt it)

    Just tested out the latest version of this on my PSP 2001 running 5.50 GEN B2 for the heck of it. Everything seemed to work fine, except for when you press home in a game, you get a blank screen and the device shuts off in 10 seconds. FAIL

    Guys…I never really post on these forums. I always just kind of read around and see what’s going on. I just wanted to tell you there is a new strategy to solve the 3000 problem with loading newer firmware and may even work on the go. I am not really much of a homebrew developer, but me and my friends excel in working with c++, java, and linux programming. We have found a way to modify homebrew so the psp doesn’t reject it. Instead of trying to find a glitch in the firmware, we are just making it so the firmware sees the homebrew as “sony approved” and just runs. Hopefully from this we can run cfw enablers for higher firmware (if they are developed indeed and the bullshit fakes stop coming) to run on the psp 3000s. This is still in very early early development, but shoes promise of success. Video in 1 week once tested on psp.
