I have a psp 3001, works great – although i still get the same weird errors (ever since 3.50). Anyone else have these issues?
    1. after exiting the menu (music+right btn) it says there are no games and I have to reboot.
    2. If I open the videos first then open the games it’ll lock up. I have to make sure it displays the triangle for options before I press x on games/memory stick or it’ll lock up.

it’s not an issue it is gen-d3. it detects the psp hardware and then installs the right set of components for the system an example would be Skype is only on psp 2000+ and not 1000. The gen team proably put different names so the updater would not become confused

becasue 5.50gen-d3 does not have those components. the firmware just fakes that it is 6.20 for GAMES ONLY! the PSN account issue should be fixed it must be something wrong with only your psp becasue mine is completely fine

first of all the issue there is not really in detail are you using a UMD or IS0

      for IS0
check is it hasn’t been corrupted in the update if has just repace it with a new copy

      for UMD
      i don’t have an answer

if it still freezes up then the firmware must have screwed up somewhere during the install process

wow… guy’s that’s why you ask first, other wise my only PSP(the crappy 3001) would be just like yours, yet i haven’t gotten an answer yet because no one seems to care or something…
but now the rest of us know, this is NOT for the PSP-3000′s and the newer PSP-2000′s…
    sorry for your guy’s PSP’s…
just my opinion… next time just try to be sure before jumping in…
the GEN-C and the CFWE 3.70 are the only one’s for the PSP-3000′s that i know of so far.

make sure to read the description CAREFULLY!!!

“Team GEN have also released Custom Firmware 5.50 GEN-D3 today.”
“PSP-3000 users were treated first to 5.03 GEN-C,(Meaning: us PSP-3000 user’s got 5.03 GEN-C first) while the mainstream 5.50 GEN users had to come second for once”

so basically, this is NOT for the “PSP-3000″ NOR the “PSP-2000″ with the TA-088 V3 motherboard.

so any one who has a “newer PSP-2000″ model or the “PSP-3000″ model DO NOT USE THIS CFW!!! YOU WILL BRICK YOUR PSP!!!

hope this helps the rest of you before you download this.

anybody knew how to unbrick this piece of crap???

      • BOBCAMO
        January 14, 2010 at 12:32 am

i’m sorry man… but the “PSP-3000′s” and “PSP-2000 with v3″ are “Un-Brickable” so far… the only way i can think of getting it to work is to send it to sony to fix it… in which case they will probably see if you tried to do something and probably not even send it back… so us PSP-3000 and the “PSP-2000 with v3″ user’s are F’ed if our psp’s brick… hopefully a solution is found in the near future… but i kind of doubt it since all of the good hackers are starting to get pissed at some people screwing every thing up and what not… but even so i give them my best regards and hope they will ignore those people…
but any way’s sorry for going off topic, but yeah its either see if any one wants a bricked PSP-3000/PSP-2000 V3, or wait, or try to send it to sony and see if you can get it fixed. that’s about it… sorry about your psp though.

        @ kjrl7

I just remembered another possible way to fix the “PSP-2000v3″ and “PSP-3000″, you would have to replace the motherboard.

how to install GEND3 on my psp slim 1004 and when i try installed it in my psp phat 1004 it showed black screen i used same file to install both Units..can someone help me about this issue? thanx!

    • BOBCAMO
      January 19, 2010 at 10:48 pm

      @ bambelb
      um… sorry but i don’t understand what you mean…
and the “PSP Slim/Lite” is a “PSP-2000″ and the “PSP-1000″ is the “PSP-PHAT/FAT”
just figured I’d put that just because it looks like your getting them wrong or something…

in most case’s, if the screen is black after you installed CFW(Custom Firm Ware) and turned the PSP on and you get nothing, then you bricked it, if you do have the PSP-PHAT/FAT and/or the PSP-Slim/Lite then you should be able to un-brick it with a “TOOL” battery or “Pandora” battery. but, if you have the PSP-2000/Slim/Lite with the “TA-088 V3″ motherboard or the PSP-3000/Brite then it’s un-brickable, unless they find the way to un-brick those 2 PSP’s.

ahhh… ok. yeah sorry about that, i don’t have a PSP-1000/PHAT just yet and never Modded one my self, only my crappy ass PSP-3001… but i just bought one and should be getting it soon hopefully, but yeah that could also be something to do with the previous version you have installed or something, or maybe a certain file is missing or maybe your installing the wrong one first or something small and stupid as usual lol. but any way’s, sorry i couldn’t be more help for ya.

actually… if your wanting to upgrade from CFW 5.50 GEN-A, then check this out, it may help ya.

That is a solid yes, u can all u need to do is put CFW gen-A in the game folder and go up the list to GEn D-3(Full). Skip Gen-C. Meaning, GEn-A, Gen-B, Gen-B2(full), Gen-D, Gen-D2, nd finally Gen-D3(Full).

Hi, i have an issue with installing CFW 5.50 gen D-3.. i currently have CFW 5.00 m33-5 and i’m using a PSP 2004. Using pandora battery i installed the CFW 5.00 and when i try to install CFW 5.50 Gen D-3 (clicking on the update in game folder) the PSP reboots and turns on with a green light and black screen, nothing more happens?
