Custom Firmware .

Team GEN and Yoshihiro have released Custom Firmware 5.50 GEN-D2. This bug fix update mainly focuses on the issues users faced when playing certain games online. It also has a fix for certain anti custom firmware games like Evangelion one.

You need to have Custom Firmware 5.50 GEN-D already installed in order to run this update. You can grab 5.50 GEN-D here: Download Custom Firmware 5.50 GEN-D

  • Fix Wlan TKIP in game loop : pes 2009 , fifa , motorstorm , GTA cw ect….

    i got pspslim the old one, i was playin GTA chinatown wars,i turned it off for a second and when i turned it back it was saying (please wait,checking the media), i think its because of the anti-cfw thing.and i know everybody has this problem.by the way thanks GEN team,im waiting for your update for the psp3k

    Are you guys able to access the PlayStation Store on the PSP itself? Or only through Media Go?
    I can’t download any purchased PSP content from my “Download List”:

        Are you able to download anything you’ve previously purchased? Let’s say a theme?

        At the moment, I can’t activate my PSP and can’t download anything through Media Go.

      you can only log in to the PS store through Media Go. you can’t go to it using only your PSP because GEN has been banned by Sony.
      but you can now play online with some of the games.

    Can anyone help with the 480×272 AVC Video Support?? I’ve updated to 5.50 GEN-D2 and I’ve got a Family Guy episode converted using PSP Video 9. I’ve got a PSP 2002 with 5.50GEN-D2 but still can’t get the video working…Just says ‘Data Unsupported.’

    can some1 please tell me how to put 5.55 games on a phat psp running 5.50 gen-d2

    because when u extract a 5.55 game, instead of gettin an iso or cso, u get a PSP_game folder and a UMD DATA file

    when i put the PSP_game folder and UMD data file in my ISO folder i cant see it on my actual psp.
    but apparently u dont need to decrypt those games if ur on 5.50 gen-d

    so can some1 please help me in detail its much appreciated

      lol. what are you talking about? extracting a rar archive, or the iso contents? 1. extract the game from the archive; 2. you just drop it into the ISO folder as-is (the ISO folder is for iso files…get it?). if you get the folders (instead of an iso or cso) you need to make a new iso in umdgen 4 (for windows) with those folders.

      When it is just an iso or cso, make a folder on the MS folder called ISO and put the iso or cso file in it. DO NOT EXTRACT THE ISO FILE BY ITSELF. You only need to extract the rar or 7zip

      if u see umd-data file and psp game folder it means that u extracted your iso or cso file
      get ur gams at pspisoz.com all the games are patched

      You don’t need to install GEN-C. Go to 5.50 GEN-D and apply this quick update to 5.50 GEN-D2.

        Sorry, but there’s nothing you can do at the time. Wait for a new exploit, then you can run CFW.
        Also, this firmware isn’t for TA-088v3. It’s a good thing you didn’t install this, otherwise your PSP would be bricked. :)

    Well, codePR / nitePR worked on 5.50 gen-D but now on 5.50 gen-D2 it won’t work lol. Anybody can help me please? Don’t tell me to install CwCheat as I want codePR. When I turn the plugin on, it gives me “The game could not be started 8002013C error” on every game I try to run. When I turn codePR off, all games run fine. As I said, codePR worked on 5.50 GEN-D.

      i dont have this problem NitePR and CodePR are working on my psp with 5.50GEN-D2 maybe some other plugin that you have cause the problem or you can try to install gen-d with pandora before that
      format flash0 and flash1 and then update to gen-d2

      Yeah, that happened to me too, what you have to do is fresh install gen-d, then upgrade to d2, I don’t know why, but it works.

        Well, all of the non 5.55 games worked on it, and one of the newer builds worked for some non decrypted 5.55 games. But the strange thing is, when they made a build after that one, the 5.55 games stopped working. But IDC about them anymore since 5.50 gen c and because of game decrypter.

    @GameGuysProjects Have you ever read the previous updates on the GEN descriptions before downloads? Or reviews and comparisons about the GEN and M33-6? They state that with the GEN series of custom firmware, it is almost entirely hit or miss with getting on the PSN, that kid might not be lying.

    Were there enough feature to this to really have to call it a GEN D, or a GEN D2? It just seems like they really skipped out on the C, when they should have just made a C3 and C4 for the updates and fixes on it.

    Just updated. PSN works when your not signed in. However, when you do sign in, it says you have to update. Guess Sony already has some CFW checks in place we dont know about. Also, guess Sony doesnt care if they loose honest users

    hey psp fan and other im not sure if i was the first person to figure this out. i tried on a psp 3000 i used chick hen then i used cfw enabler and i tried hellcats recovery flasher and it worked and my psp 3000 runs on 5.00 m33-6 i dont know if any one has tryed this :P but it works so i hope u guys try this! :) so patient that uchiha_tiko

      The only thing you can really do is the temporary CFW that they have now for the newer systems, if you’re is allowed to use the CFW enabler, chickHen. I think that is all you can do at the moment. I’m not even sure, I don’t even own a PSP yet. I have a broke one that I will soon Pandora, and I have a Slim soon on the way, Daxter edition. I’ve been researching PSP’s for almost 8 hours a day for the past two weeks. I have found nothing more recent in the 3000 and later 2000 models than the CFW enabler through ChickHen, sorry man.

      Right now CFWE 3.60 is the best cfw for PHA mobos, for plugins, create a folder in the root of your memory stick and name it SEPLUGINS inside that folder create 3 text files, and call on VSH, another GAME and the last one POPS, now for plugins,FOR EXAMPLE you want to put hold plugin. you pur the hold.prx folder in your SEPLUGINS folder, now the read me that came with the file that you downloaded should say something like ms0:/SEPLUGINS/hold.prx 1 now disconnect your PSP then COMPLETELY turn it off.then turn it back on and re enable ChickHEN R2 and CFWE 3.60 and it should beenabled.

        PSP 2000 TA-085v1 maybe some of you dont know but only this mobo for psp 2000 can make

    For all people that have psp 2000 with TA-088v3 or psp 3000 if you want to have hacked psp just buy psp 1000 or 2000 with old mobo thats it because your psp’s will not be hacked soon atleast not with full custom firmware so just sell yours and buy good psp

      If you want cfw that bad then why not, but i suggest u get a completely hackable psp 2000. Go to gamestop and buy a used psp 2000 most likely white starwars, silver daxter , or red god of war and try to hack it with pandora and if it does not work return it or get a different one.
