5.50 GEN-D was just released, however its not 100% bug free as some of us have discovered there is a Wifi bug in certain games. But hell its pretty damn good if you ask me, fixing up the mess 5.50 GEN-C caused. Nevertheless looking for more or less a perfect Custom Firmware 5.50 release. Yoshihiro has posted in the PSPGen forums that Custom Firmware is in the works, this is basically a bix fix release. No Eta on the release of this one. We’ll keep you posted.

There the fix for the update 5.50 GEN-D2

1 : Fix Wlan TKIP in game loop : pes 2009 , fifa , motorstorm….
2 : Fix Video Output With 5.5X and 6.X
3 : Fixed recovery menu with make Pandora and make battery normal
4 : removed splash screen http://www.pspgen.com but you have another spash screen in red color for let you know if the decrypter work .

Update. It will be out tomorrow, 24th October.

        Its in the recovery menu, M33 network update (Disabled), but your right it would be nice if the added it finally.

      i think i go back to 5.00 m33,
      5.50 gen d has mutch bugs like,
      no online gameplay :(

      I think it would be useless for the gen team to make it for psp 3000 cuz when you turn it off its back to ofw and i think hackers of psp1(not 1k) will go down cuz of PSPGo(aka PSP2 not 2k but psp2)

    They’ve been rushing things a bit, obviously. I haven’t updated beyond B2 yet because of the reported WPA glitch. That’s fine, I don’t mind patching games myself for a while.

      What a stupid comment, People reporting problems with gen-d are not bitching as you put it,But are giving feedback on what works and what dont work,and if people did not leave comments then gen would not fix the miner problems would they as they would not know about them.

    Is it just me or has anyone else during gameplay experienced a lag? or like a frame skip/speed up? I downgraded you gen b and tested the games and no lag/frame skip, then i upgraded to gen d and it started getting laggy and it was the same iso on the same psp. Anybody help?

      Yes I think I have. Seems slower. Try setting your clocks to 333Mhz

    CFW 6.00 GEN would make sense since the new games like the Jap. demo of Lunar require 6.00. Since DAX will never come back, we’ll have to rely on Team GEN and Yoshihiro for their updates, which are still continuing on with hacking and homebrewing.

    so when i play my gta china town wars iso and put the psp in standby mode when i try to turn it back on to resume where i left off i get a black screen saying something about looking for media and it quits cuz i guess it cant find the umd but my purpose for using the iso is so i dont have to haul my umds around has anyone else had this problem with the game?

    I give these guys there props, Sure there was bit of a problem with version C, and slight issue with D. But they are working on things to CFW moving forward, and one of my biggest thoughts is this…….. Wheres DAX what has he been doing, does he have something up his sleeve right now and just waiting. I say this cause both Yoshihiro and Team Gen said there would be no 6.00 CFW and this isn’t a 6.00 CFW but its a pretty damn close to one if you ask me. Anybody no know anything?

    I’ve been waiting to make that pun since Gen-C.. and it’s not even that good of a pun, but since I don’t use Gen, I can’t say anything about the actual firmware and it’s issues.

    We need a Memory Stick Speed increase in the Gens
    other than that ill stick with 5.00 M33-6

    besides i can switch back and forth to Gen-D depending on the game i
    wanna play

    You do NOT need memory stick speed increases providing you have a better (ie; Ultra2) stick!

    stop talking for Dark Alex and M33 because he dont work from along time now just Yoshihiro and Team Gen are working for us psp comunity so you can show them little appreciation if you dont like it just dont use it i dont and the most problems that you guys have with GEN-C and GEN-D are because you dont know how to install it and use it i didnt have any problems with both cfw make clean install with pandora batt. and dc8 before that format flash0 and flash1 and everything will be fine

    I’m on m33-6, shall i stick to this? cos i dont have any trouble with it. Only thing is i have to decrypt 5.55 6.00, witch isnt really a huge problem. I done it myself. Or shall i go with Gen-DarK-AleX?

      if you don’t mind patching the games why bother updating. the only reason i updated to gen-d is that i am going to buy Chinatown wars for psp in a few days.; )

    5.50 GEN-D has video output bug when you plugin video cable and try to get out the picture on the tv
    the psp dosnt detect the cable and ask for gen-b2 dosnt have this problem i hope D2 have fix for this

    Meh im still on B2 because right now im only playing 2 games, D might still have a few bugs but hey cant complain to them for trying its trial and error, they release it, we gamers download it and try it out then any bugs get reported and they release an update fixing them

    The language is French. You have to register with PSPGen to download it anyways and let me tell you it was a pain to do not knowing French.

    Anyways I got it and installed it I can verify that:

    1.Ultimate PSPTube works
    2.Netfront Beta 4 works
    3.Game Categories 7 works.
    4.CXMB works
    5.Nitepr works
    6.PSPCheatup works

    Games:

    I tested everything and its all good and yes Internet works(WEP Encryption)
    Oh yeah I have a FAT PSPMOBO va blah blah blah 79.

    I did the version text thing with all plug ins off and MGS didn’t work any advice?

      I downloaded it from another website and install it. I was able to go in the plastation store but once i created an account it would not let me in anymore telling me that a system software update for u psp is required. and it won’t let go in the playstation store any more, telling me this shit. Do u know how to fix this prblem bc it was leting me go in without any problems and once i created the account is not doing it any more and is telling bout that software update shit. thanx man any help would be greatly apritiated
