Custom Firmware 5,50 GEN-B2 update released

Custom Firmware 5,50 GEN-B2 update released

has been released by the PSPGen team. This release is a bug fix release that fixes a compatibility issue with Despertar del Cementerio. You need to be on Custom Firmware 5.50 GEN-B in order to taken advantage of this update.

Custom Firmware 5.50 GEN-B2 Changelog:

  • Fixed bug that prevented the launch of an entire category whose homebrew kit despertar del cementerio.

        I updated and i found that the newer ISO/CSO files do not work they just freeze at a loading screen for an example Rock Band Unplugged

      Yes if you have a “Pandorable” PSP and No if you have a psp 2k v3 and psp 3k..

    Awesome, glad 5.50 GEN has yet another update! C’mon M33 fanboys, your precious CFW is outdated. It’s time to bite the bullet and upgrade already.

      I would if they could configure LEDA with it. I have some good 1.50 software on my slim that I want to run. So I’m still sticking with 5.00 m33.

      aw. GEN has made a another update for their 5.50GEN-B. i think its not that great coz some games can that can be run on 5.50 GEN-B is also working with 5.00m33.

      Lets just wait and see who’s more superior between the two teams by the end of this year. Hopefully, Dark_Alex would make a 6.00m33 in the near future.

        lol Why 6.00? Why not 5.55? It would be better to make CFW out of it, because now DAX has a huge reason to make it- A lot of games require 5.55 to work.

    Is it supposed to say GEN-B2? I run and it says completed with success but it still says GEN-B (Full) in System info.

    i like Gen better than M33 but credit still goes to Dark_Alex for pioneering CFW. Csn’t wait from more updates from the PSPGen team!

    What are the newer features? It’s not like we’ve heard “Region-free” before..

    A feature Worth updating for is region free movie UMDs and not just games.

    Use of the PSN network? Anyone can do that from the pc no matter what firmware. (PSP MEDIA GO)

      No its not, its just for PSP-1000 and PSP-2000′s with a TA88 v2 or less. PSP That can full flash and take custom firmware. Please see our forum for more info.

      This is something all together different from CFWEnabler. At this stage your PSP-3000 cannot support this CFW. Don’t try to flash it our you will brick your PSP-3000!!

    Why won”t anyone answer me? Just wanna know if the patch for GEN-B says GEN-B2 when you check the version info. Because my PSP still says GEN-B (full) after the patch so I’m not sure if it worked even after the patch says “done with success”.

    this took away my vsh menu on my phat whats up with that do i need to downgrade it to get it back? i thought i was getting a better vsh not none at all

    DAX really should make a 6.00m33 not a 5.55m33 because 5.55 OFW is only a security patch so that other exploits wont work if they had a 5.55 OFW installed.
    @rayner000 6.00 is the latest firmware from Sony and it has new changes unlike the 5.55 firmware.
    And when you install a 6.00 CFW or higher CFW in your PSP, all games that require 5.55 firmware will also be playable on that PSP.

      Failed. I have written the post before 6.00 came out -_-. I’m not stupid, I know 6.00 can play 5.55 games.

    5.50 GEN-B2 still cant run most homebrews. and thats the only problem i had with the latest GEN CFW.
    and it still needs the speedhack like in the m33.

    everyone here worships dark alex.. where is his team? hasnt anyone thought that, since he pioneered cfw, maybe he now works for sony? maybe this explains why sony’s softwares are harder to crack.. cfw’s now just arent good enough.
