follow these instructions first u make a pandora battery and follow the steps here in this website
    http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/552549
then after u make the pandora aka jigkick battery put the 390 pbh file from this download instead of the 371 pbh file in has inside (i mean to replace it) and then follow the instructions on the net and execute the file and VIOLA U HAV A psp wad ever slim version (i dunno why the idiotic people put the color of their psp in the comments …) So now u go to the system information menu and see OMGOMGOMG IT SAYS PSP VERSION 3.90 M33!!

Here is one for you experts, I bought a slim psp, and i have the official firmware 4.05 from sony. I bought a pandora battery that has a blue led light on it so you can use it as a regular battery and as the pandora battery, supposedly with the push of a button, but heres the problem, I CANT GET THE PANDORA PART TO WORK!! I put in the magic memory stick that has the custom firmware 4.01 m33 on it, that also came with the battery i bought, then after i put in the memory stick, i put in the battery and nothing happens, it wont boot into the service mode where i can install the custom firmware, any ideas???

hi, I have a black slim PSP, and I want to know how to get my PS1 games to work on it without having to make a Pandora’s battery or anything like that. I’m not very good with tools. Can someone help me? I have tons of firmwares that I downloaded, and I’m not sure what to use on my slim version. Please help.

Well, you have to have custom firmware installed to play any of you ps1 games, or any game you download off the internet. The only way to put custom firmware on the slim psp is to use a pandora battery, now you can buy a battery and magic memory stick package for around 40 bucks, or you can find someone to install the custom firmware for you. Now i know its risky, but there are people on ebay that will install custom firmware for you for about 20 bucks. If you are willing to take that rout, i will do it for you for Free, send me an email if your interested . player_x_slayer420@yahoo.com

sure. I’m definetly interested. I am a diehard FF7 fan. Heh. They say that you can either buy a battery or have someone “copy” it over from something. I’ve been reading up on this all day, and I am desperate.

well, you dont have to make the pandora if you dont want to, you can buy a package with the pandora battery and magic memory stick online for about 40 bucks. usually that gives you a pandora battery and a 1gb memory stick with the needed software to install custom firmware.

I got a friend to mod it for me! It’s osm. Thanks for everything guys. I have my custom Pandora’s Battery and Magic Mem Stick.

However, are there any known glitches while playing FF8 and FF7?

When I started up FF7, it goes through the first FMV, but when Cloud goes to battle the first two MPs, it gets all glitchy, freezes, and shuts off.

When I play FF8, when I casted a spell at Ifrit (scan), it froze and shut off.

I burnt the BINS from my discs to play? Could it be my discs are messed up. I only downloaded FF9, and it works fine. I’m on disc 2 now. Any input?

Are you trying to download a PSX game (iso), or a bunch of isos in a folder?

And to solve my problem, I believe I have to use a different version of Popstation with FF7 (namely, an earlier version), and that I shouldn’t cast Scan in FF8, and also don’t cast too much magic at one time, or it’ll freeze. I’m gonna try ff8 again.
