3.90 M33

Dark_AleX has released to the world. This new firmware bring a major feature on board, Skype for the PSP. Finally its here. (Confirmed this works well, Skype calls sound just as good as on the PC)

Instructions

- Copy the UPDATE folder into /PSP/GAME/
- Get the 3.90 sony update from somewhere, and put it in same folder, with name “390.PBP”.
Alternatively, you can let the installer to download for you via wifi.
- Run it, the update will be done by Sony updater. At the end when you are asked to reboot the
PSP pressing X or O, do it.

Changes:

- 3.80 -> 3.90
- March33 NO UMD: fixed (yet another) bug related with exiting with home. (infinite semaphore wait)

Changes in updater:

- The degeneration check and correction of IDS keys happens too in 3.71 now.
- Added code to download 3.90 PBP from net via wifi.
Note that his code is not yet 100% stable, it may crash when selecting AP. In that case,
reinit the installer.
- L+triangle has been restored as method to bypass battery.
If you already have 390.PBP keep those buttons pressed until you see “Veryfing 390.PBP”.
If the 390.PBP is being downloaded bia wifi, press those buttons at the end of download until
you see the previous sentence.

    dude, i would not have post such a stupid question if i didn’t read it or tried it! i did as it said to do! it boots, but i keep getting[the game could not be started (80020148)] screen! i put both files in PSP/GAME/UPDATE.”one folder two files” everything is as it should be but nothing! 8o(

    Popsloader will need an update now, a few PSX games I own do not work under the 3.90 update, but worked fine under 3.80. But thanks goes out to DA for keeping us as up to date as he can!

    hi, i just updated to 3.90 m33-2 from 3.80 m33-5 but i dont have skype on my psp. Does anyone know whats up with that? Just in case i might have done something wrong or not done something as the case may be

    I keep getting that error message (80020148) and it doesn’t work. I have a PSP 2000 (Slim) with firmware 3.80 and put the UPDATE folder under GAME in PSP. In that file it has the official sony psp 3.90 eboot renamed to 390.PBP as well as the one offered for download here named EBOOT.PBP . I need help!

    I have the same problem :(
    I’m already on 3.9, and my slim keeps saying “there is no need to update”. Is there a way to trick it to think this is a 3.91?

    i have the psp silver slim (2100 series) and because i have firnware version 3.90, it says there is no need to update. is there a way to downgrade my psp’s firmware so that i can download the custom firmware?

    Can you download games on this firmware and play them on your psp like full games because on the 3.8 firmware you can’t play full games

    I have the slim psp and i just wanted to know is there anyway to get homebrew running on there without a battery pack i had a fat psp with double firmware 1.0 and x.xx now can i accomplish this with the slim or can i do n e thing with it any help would be greatly appreciated.. version 3.90

    “TO FIX THE PROBLEM FOLLOW THESE STEPS:

    1. Goto Recovery Menu (turn off then hold R and turn on)
    2. Configuration -> Use NO-UMD (Disable it)
    3. Go all the way back to main menu
    4. Advanced -> Advanced Configuration -> (Disable all of them)”

    it should work after that..

    HELP: I have updated my PSP to 3.93 official firmware how can I changed it back to 3.90 M33-2 without Pandoras’ Battery? Is there a patch that can make it 3.93 M33 or just to be able to play my iso games? I tried the 3.93 M33 unofficial but my psp is always saying that my firmware is updated.

    i downloaded the folder and put the UPDATE folder into my psp/game
    and then i go into my psp and click on game and it says
    3.9 m33 update
    then i click on it and it says
    there is no need to update?
    what do i do next?
