Coldbird quits Scene. But CFW 6.60 PRO-C still in Development.

PRO TEAM CFW

The good news first, Custom Firmware 6.60 PRO-C is still in development, its a rather large step up from PRO-B. As in this build the team is planning to add an online mode (infrastructure mode) for ad-hoc games. This is without the use of Xlink Kai or Ad Hoc Party. Something that has never been done before. The requires majoring coding and testing.

But will it see the light of day? Hopefully, but the PRO team and PSP Scene had a major set back yesterday as ColdBird, a key PSP developer has left the PSP scene. You can’t blame him after many ungrateful impatient noobs gave him strife on his blog. After his posted about progress on 6.60 PRO-C. Its not the first time a developer has quit because of raging impatent comments from 12 year old kids… People need to learn that PSP developers do this work out of there own spare time for FREE. They owe you the user nothing. But it seems some will never get it into their heads and bitch and moan. The PSP scene is still ugly.. And yet again the damage is done.

Coldbird joins the ranks of other Developers that have thrown their towel in Red Squirrel , Dark_Alex , Yoshihiro , GENyUS to name a few….

  i would like to see some one crack it, the vita, but i doubt these devs would come back they got sick of people not the psp i have to agree with PSH that people that people don’t have anything attached to the dev that allows people to bitch and wine like young kids. I do dev for other things and you still get the same bS there as you do here. then again i used ot small private devs for the psp but i never really cared for dev on a console.

  GOD-II is a fake CFW it is not really made by DJGodman but directly came from TEAM PRO’s source with alot of strings changed to name after him… he is one pathetic faker and self proclaimed psp dev.
  
  If you follow him on twitter, you will see him posting and asking for Neur0n’s help.
  Not only that he also violated GPL for saying it is his work and not giving any credits to TEAM PRO.
  
  If you made something out of PRO’s source then you need to comply with the license otherwise you will face legal acitons such as your link will be removed from any website like Total_Noob’s 6.20 TN-E and 6.39 TN-A using Bubbletunes GPLed gamecategories without releasing the source.
  
  Few days later HacKmaN released xmbctrl(TN settings) source at wololo.net/talk to comply with the license.

In all my years of soft modding psp’s ive seen the best and the worst go. from Dark Alex himself, Team GEN and now Coldbird. I greatly appreciate all the developers and what they have done for us and what they can do for us in the new future with the vita coming out. I believe its fair to say that everything that there was to have achieved on the psp has been achieved, from portals that ran flash games, using our psp 1000 as a tv remote, playimg emulators and even running windows 95 on it. The psp has seen its good times. Now sadly i believe that after pro c is released other than minor bug fixes there wont be much more to do until the vita comes out. So before you decide to bash the developers. or come here to ask why your pandora battery wont fit in your psp go. give them thanks and lets take a moment of silence to remember those that have done great for us.

  The scene did not revolve and rely on TN. But we are thankful for he released his Initial HEN in 6.20.
  He may have revived and jumpstart the scene through his HEN but did he do any crypto work like VF, CB, Neur0n, DAVEE and PROXIMA?

I’ll give Coldbird respect where it’s due. He blew the PSP wide open and did it FOR US. He didn’t complain and whine and try to be an attention whore. He didn’t “quit” and then come back to try and make us feel sorry for him. He worked hard and only left because of a bombarding of questions that he was probably sick of hearing. He’s not like a certain PS3 “developer” who quit just because one of his homeboys realized he was an arrogant prick who’d probably take credit for a TEAM’S work and released a few essential files and then came back and said that he cracked something with a FAKE PICTURE and told us that he wasn’t sharing and pretty much to go fuck ourselves.

Hey guys. I’m kinda new at this hacking community. I was reading through everone’s posts. I just wanna say to all of the hackers that quit the scene for known reasons (including the ones I don’t know or I just talked to), you guys are awesome. If yall ever do come back, I am sure it will make alot of us hacking people happy. As for the haters, if yall that impatient for the people that worked very hard to make us happy releases a cfw that makes us even more happier, then please do something else, try doing it yourself or try to even go to the workers place and witness yourself how hard it is to make cfw’s and etc. Last but not least, NeurOn. You and the other people that works with you are our hope for a brighter future. Please make us hackers dream of this thing that makes us play wireless online come true lol. Again for the people that left the scene, you guys are awesome.
