ChickHEN R3 VSH Menu features

Davee has kindly posted a quick snapshot of ChickHEN R3′s VSH Menu and the options will are likely to see. As we can see the following options will be available:

Hide TIFF in PHOTO
Hide PIC1 Homebrew Icons
Spoof system settings version
Spoof mac address
Redirect Network Updater
Spoof firmware version
Use Nandgaurd technology
Store ChickHEN config
Reboot PSP

Interesting things to note:

Redirect Network Updater option, much like the M33 Update option, you’ll be able to download future ChickHEN updates straight to your PSP’s memory stick.

Spoof your firmware version – This will come in handy once future UMD games ask for firmware version 5.50+ or will not boot. With this option you’ll be able to by pass this check.

Use Nandgaurd technology - A safeguard to stop noobs bricking their PSP, by preventing access to the NAND flash

Please note this only our translation of the features in ChickHEN R3, it may or may not be correct.Would be nice if Davee could also add a shutdown PSP from the VSH menu as I’m sure most PSP users will use this one the most.

Can anyone tell me if the chickHen r3 will be made? I really want hack my fw 5.51 to play isos…
But since the chickhen r2 just works until fw 5.03…
Dave, could you make the chickhen r3 so we all could play isos on fw 5.51+?

Chicken R3 will not work for anything above 5.03, because it is just an update for the old R2 to make it better. If you want to wait for something to help you out with 5.51 or 6.20 then post on the save game exploit comments.

The save game exploit is the best bet for hacking your psp.
