CFW 6.39 ME v2 for 01g, 02g model by neur0n *Update*

has released 6.39 Minimum Edition for 01g, 02g model! A Custom Firmware for the latest official firmware 6.39.  It seems nobody is faster than , or can you beat him?

A Big thanks to neur0n, he is the best!

Developers notes:

- Features –– Support Unsigned Homebrew.
– Support Extra module ( = plugins ).
– Support ISO mount with M33driver , NP9660driver , OEdriver , NormalDriver and MEdriver.
– Support UMD video.
– Support converted PSX(PS1) game and custom DOCUMENT.DAT.– Unlock 480×272 avc video.
– Unlock max display brightness lenel without AC adapter.
– Unlock ExtraMemory for Homebrew ( slim only ).
– Unlock Slim color in XMB.(need to prepare bmp file )

– Support USB battery charging.
– Support CPU speed control.
– Support hide PIC0. and PIC1. option.
– Support Flash0/1/2/3/UMD mount with USB.
– Support fake region.
– Support Battery EEPROM option in recovery menu.

– Support to load Unsignated module.
– Support to load packed ( with Dark_AleX’s psp-packer ) module.

– What is this?–
This is CFW work on PSP1000 and PSP2000.

The degree of stability is still unknown.
Please test it on your own and refer to different people’s test reports.

–How to Install–
First, you need to install CFW or HEN in your PSP.

1. copy UPDATE folder at ms0:/PSP/GAME/.
2. Put 6.39 official update at ms0:/PSP/GAME/UPDATE/639.PBP .
3. Run installer from xmb.

– features –
Hold R trigger and turn on the psp, you can enter recovery menu.
Hold Home button and turn on the psp, you can Boot OFW.

– Credit –
This CFW is based Dark_AleX’s 5.00M33.
And usbdev.prx is his own.

        UMD Video Mount.
        Not supported in any of the other LiteCFWs.

        Anyhow, this is for the “Pandorable” PSPs only, which already have the downgrade option regardless of the firmware they are at. So there you go.

      Needed and works great since u can connect to PSN/RUN LATEST LEGITIMATE UMD/PSN DOWNLOADED GAMES without problems but only for 100% HACKABLE PANDORA/MMS CAPABLE 100x/200x(TA-88v2 below) PSP’s….

      Not applicable if you have a GO/300x, why? coz one mistake = perma brick/dead psp… just wait for the next LCFW to come out till then…..

      As of now i havent encountered any freezes with most of my PSX games :D , no more need for POPS plug-in……

    lol @ people 6.35-6.39 is all the same firmware. Do you really think Sony is trying to stop hackers since the PSP has been dead for so long? They’re only updating for compatibility with the new services and that recent password change. Stop getting excited over nothing. The PSP has not had a REAL FW update in a long time.

      i also agree. Updates are for games and services compatibility only. Neuron’s CFW are limited, not a big deal. He modifies what’s modified. Please don’t compare him to Some1.

      Seeing how much stuff still gets released weekly in Japan, I can’t agree with your ‘PSP is dead’ statement.
      There are fine games being made and released, its just not the west that gets to see them, since their expectations have been really narrowed down during the past few years.

      Sony, on the other hand, is fighting on more than one front. It’s not about PSPiracy these days, its about saving their arses concerning the PSN and developing the NGP.
      So yeah, they already have the next thing in the pipe, but that does not mean the PSP is dead yet.

    I was able to update to 6.39 me no problem from updating from 6.38 me.

    updated works fine for me. Doing a little game testing right now. Good Work. Tested on my PSP 2000 TA88 V1/V2 model. Install was good

    Just downgrade your 6.38/6.39 to 6.35/6.20 (some1′s DOWNGRADER) and install PRO-B5. Its the best CFW out there. Neuron’s ME is limited to 01g and 02g only (worst CFW).

      its not the worst CFW, its the only updated full CFW in exsistance (GEN and M33 have stopped) so its very good for psp 1000/2000 owners. For a psp 3000 or go! owner, yes, I do agree that PRO is the best out there :)

        When the downgrader (Some1′s downgrader) came out I immediately downgraded my 6.38 GO to 6.35, now I’m on 6.35 PRO-B5 which is really the best CFW as of now. I’ve tried TN-E as well but the lack of ISO/CSO support made me switch to PRO-B5. Thanks to TN, Coldbird & The Team and to Some1. They’ve made things possible on the PSP scene.

        And to “THanks!!” it seems that you’re the one whining. hahaha

        6.20/35 PRO-xx or TN-E is good for 3k/GO, but much more better having the latest 6.39 CFW with 1k’s/2k’s…..

        Tell me though who said “WORST this/that”?? Kid its obvious whose whining saying those “WORST words”…..

        TIP: DONT SPEAK if your just going to say “WORST CFW COZ ITS ONLY FOR 1k/2k’s or etc”.Stick with what works for you and not whine about this CFW being th best/the worst, every CFW has its Pros/Cons…. “hahahah”??? kid go outdoors sometimes…..

    Works Great on both my PSP 100x – 200x(TA-88v2)….

    No more need for POPS plugin though i havent encountered any freeze as of now from PSX games…..

    Keep supporting neuron for his greatwork!!!

      i think when you update your psp it says that u have firmware 9.90 and update is not required
      then u change your usb mode to flash0 and open version.txt and change 9.90 to below 6.39,like 6.38
      or 5.00

        I think if you put the Gen D installer in the psp game folder you can simply use it to go back to OFW 5.50 and go from there. If you downgrade to 5.00 you will need a pandora battery I think but all in all I think teja has the easiest route just change the version text from usb.

    OK, so here’s what to do for 5.50 prome

    1. Press select in xmb and where it says usb device change it from memory stick to flash 0
    connect to computer.

    2. Don’t touch anything in the usb, just search for the file, version.txt.

    3. Open it up and change release number from 9.90 to 5.50 or lower than 6.20 or anything you want your version number to be.

    4. Change usb device back to memory stick.

    5. Finish!

      this cfw is not for psp 3000, and the “g” stands for generation:
      psp 1000 = 1g
      psp 2000 v1 and v2 = 2g
      psp 2000 v3 = 3g
      psp 3000 = 4g
      psp go = 5g, 7g and 9g

        @jalaa KID!!!. Atleast show some respect with the devs who makes CFW’s and not say their NOOB/WORST CFW coz its only for 1k/2k’s. Even I myself never said such things on any CFW’s may it be PRO/TN-E coz i know its not easy to make and if you understand then you’ll get it if not then its your problem, your just like the KID who posted recently about this CFW being the WORST guess what KID!! go outdoors sometimes. Another thing stick with what works for you and not whine if you like PRO/TN-E then thats that no more whining on other CFW’s. Even if he doesnt have a 3k/GO the chance of bricking those PSP’s to death are high unless youd like to give him a set of PSP 3k/GO for testing when they brick, then be my guest.

    just another firmware update from sony.theres no decent update nowadays.and that is why we have these latest cfw coz i think the kernel exploit has never been remove since.so people we should all be grateful even if its worst/great for you.let us hope the psp scene dont fade away really fast.

      Yes using a patch tool will fix this problem. Though since this is base on m33 FW so that could be the cause since M33 FW SC4 don’t work for me.

    Downgrade to 5.00-M33 beause it’s the best CFW available, all plugins is working great.
    also if some games doesn’t work just use iso tools latest version to get it work.
