CFW 5.50 GEN-C Coming No Game Decrypter required

Update: October 18th Custom Firmware 5.50 GEN-C Released.

Custom Firmware 5.50 GEN-C is on the way from and the PSPGEN crew. Whats new in CFW 5.50 GEN-C is we don’t have to patch our ISO’s using Game Decrypter anymore. As 5.50GNE-C has build in support to run firmware 5.55, 6.00 and 6.10 firmware games straight from the CFW. Oh and demos too that require firmware 5.55+ like Metal Gear Solid Peace Walker.

So thats awesome we won’t need to patch / decrypt eboots and rebuild the ISO with UMDGEN. Great stuff, expected release is this Sunday evening French time. As always we will keep you posted and upload it as soon as its released.

    Guys, calm down. Instead of bitching about it you could go to the source. It says so in clear French “Rendez-vous dimanche soir pour la mise en ligne.” They even put in English below it “Rendez-vous sunday night for the release.”

      Wooah! Calm down buddy. I just checked the PSPGEN (FR) website and if u read the english translation, it says tht GEN-C was going to be released Sunday NIGHT not evening.

        that and who cares if they miss the deadline by a few hours? i wouldnt even care if they missed it by a week, its FREE!! as in, we dont have to pay for it, so wait your sorry asses in the corner, and it will be out eventually

    i mean as exciting as this is does it really matter if thats the only update they are doin i mean all the iso’s out right now are already fixed now if they got around the psn block that would be even better but props to them anyways they are the only one’s putting out any sort of cfw at the moment so i guess we jus have to wait and see

    I recall the last CFW 5.50 GEN-B2 update was released around 11:30 – 12 GMT +1 so we have around 2 hours till its release. If its released today. I’ve post it asap when its uploaded.

      Thanks for the update PSPFan. Although i dont think im gonna use GEN again unless they can fix what ever’s wrong with plug-ins (i couldnt use half my homebrew stuff, mainly emulators). I still would be happy to see that the CFW world is still fully operational. That and maybe you’ll calm down some of those people who are getting impatient

    Sorry guys, i wan’t to believe that cfw GEN-C is for real and are goimg to be released this night. But if it does not come out this night or within the following days, then i think that GenYus team has tricked us all. But we’ll wait and see…

      what purpose would there be in tricking us? especially when they have delivered in the past. It would be a waste of their own time to do that. So really, unless something came up that they cant release it tonight, then i wouldnt be surprised to see it come around the corner soon. And even if it doesnt tonight i wont care, because ITS FREE!

    Hmm might just be delayed, wouldn’t be the first time. And normally they claim its due to some last minute bug etc etc. I’ll check again later. If not just keep refreshing the PSPGen.com homepage

    but what im wandering is that they say that there gonna release 6.00 gen cfw soon about a month ago and last time i checked a month isnt soon and now there gonna release 5.50 gen c.I mean what is possibly wrong with 5.50 gen b i love the gen cfw but i think that there just stalling from releasing 6.00 gen
