Firmware 5.00; PlayStation Store next week

Firmware 5.00 is set for release on October 15, next week, well in Japan anyway. With this update is the PlayStation Network, the store will feature under the new PSN category in the XMB.
Selected first party titles will be up for download in Japan, including Resistance: Retribution and Secret Agent Clank.

Here’s some proof posted by French site PSPGen running PSP firmware 5.0 on a test tool PSP. Remember this is not an official release, so bear in mind when Firmware 5.00 is public it could be quite different to what we see now.

DJB has again updated is Pandora installer, but now it has been bumped to version 2.2.
If you don’t already know this program, it’s all-in-one Pandora solution allowing you to create different MMS setups.

Attention “cheaters”: Action Replay is now on the PSP

Datel, the creators of the Tool battery and service tools (not Pandora itself) has now ported the poplular cheating device, Action Replay to the PSP. What does this mean? It means you can insert codes and unlock features within a game without Custom Firmware plugins.

Slyder 0.01a

QJ developer Soulless has uploaded a demo of an old lua project. In this game you have to move the player to the objective spot of each level. The movement consists of sliding, until you hit a wall. Here’s what Soulless says:
