TA-088v3 partially hacked

brokencodes, of the Dark-AleX.org forums has gotten into part of the motherboard’s signing code.
What does this mean? It means we’re one step closer to hacking these buggers once and for all.
For now, its only a partial code but expect to see it cracked quite soon.

PSP Pandora Deluxe v2.8

DJB’s ever useful MMS maker and toolbox has been updated to version 2.3.
What’s new:

UMDumper has now been removed from the Support Tools, and UMDrip has been put in its
places. FuSa SD and Hold+ were also updated to their latest versions.

PSP-3000 inside out video

This rather cool video has surfaced on youtube. A PSP-3000 being disassembled and re-assembled in time lapse fashion. Well worth a look. Still no break through on this model being hackable. Its still unhackable, just like the TA88 v3 motherboard.

Datel profiting off the work of non-profit PSP coders

Remember Datel’s Action Replay for the PSP? Upon inspection by Dark_AleX and VoidPointer, it appears that the $40 device actually contains the IPL used in Pandora within the supplied memory stick.

Rain’s UltraLite MMS Maker 1.1 Final

The final version of this program has been posted up by RainMotorsports.
These are the changes:

- Added Unicode Support to the backup script.
- Changed to smaller 12kb fresh rip of the TM IPL
- Added detailed error information and cleaned up error handling along with some minor bug fixes.

PSPMSX v1.4.1 released

Zx-81 has released an update to PSPMSX his MSX and MSX2 emulator . Its now compatible with 5.00 M33, version. This new version (version 1.4.1) is a  text editor that allows you to save notes on the games.

PSP Pandora Deluxe v2.5

DJM stopped by our forums to let us know he has updated his All in one Pandora solution to version 2.5. This new update includes 5.00 M33-3.

5.00 M33-3 Released

Quick to fix the introduced bug in M33-2 DAX has released 5.00 M33-3!
* A bug was introduced in 5.00 M33-2 that made some games and homebrew to not work.
* PSN version check is now automatically bypassed without the need of touching any settings.

Custom Firmware 5.00 M33-2 released

Firmware 5.01 to fix PlayStation Store errors

Users of larger memory sticks may notice that you couldn’t download content due to an error stating insufficient space. 5.01 will fix that problem.

PSP-3000 screen issues

One of the prominent features of the PSP-3000 is the updated screen giving more colours and less ghosting. Here’s one problem new PSP owners didn’t count on, scan-lines. This actually makes things look worse than the PSP-2000.

This is quite a big release (bunch of releases).
RainMotorsports decided to abandon his previous maker and go for an “UltraLite” solution. There are separate installers available from 1.50 to 4.01.

Opening up the PSP, and not just the packaging

Japanese site PC Watch has provided a whole lot of pics of thee PSP-3000.
The site shows us the inside hardware of the PSP as well as the close-ups of the system.
PC Watch has gone all the way and has literally stripped the PSP, taking out the screen and motherboard.

PSP store rep Grace Chen has added a recent video on the PSP Blog showing us the features of the PSP Store that will come in PSP firmware 5.00, by the way PSP Firmware 5.0 will be released tomorrow and hopefully 5.00 M33 will follow soon.
