BlazBlue Continuum Shift Extend Trailered

Continuum Shift II was announced back on E3 where it was playable nevertheless the skipped GamesCom 2011 this month. This week System Works revealed some more information on the game. We now know that the game will  be called ” BlazBlue Continuum Shift Extend “.

Moreover players will enjoy new scenarios and characters on top of the content of  Continuum Shift II. Some of the new characters are Ignis and Relius Clover. Relius Clover can be seen in the below as well. Other features for the Vita version include Network Mode and Abyss Mode. Network Mode supports irregular team counts. As you can see in the trailer there are 2 on 2, 3 on 3 and 2 on 4 battles. Abyss Mode will include a refined version of the BlazBlue Calamity Trigger story, complete with four new scenarios. The trailer also mentions that the PS3 and Vita versions will share save data for story mode.

In a recent interview Arc System Works’ Hiroyuki Masuno and Toshimichi Mori were asked about the connectivity between the Vita and the PS3 version of the game. Masuno said that they’d like to support cross platform play if at all possible. It’s a feature they have their eyes on, as it could be a major selling point. Masuno added that he is looking forward to a discussions with Sony to cover the possibility of support for network-based combat via 3G. The interview continued on the  TGS demo of the game that we will see. According to them we will see the latest build where unlike the E3 demo won’t be any frame drops and the game will run smooth on 60 fps.

The game will be Japanese release title and will be playable at TGS.
