Battery Warning Plug-in.

PSP Develpoer Zack has updated his . This latest release, dubbed version two. Will now work on custom themes. The low warning message is now clearer to read than before and also a reduced memory usage, down from 1mb+ to 256kb.

Changelog :

* Fixed warning message appearing as white box on PSP’s using a custom theme.
* CXMB Compatibility
* Message now clearer to read.
* Reduced memory usage to 256kb (as opposed to 1mb)
* Fixed warning message getting hidden by textures on certain games. (still happens on some loading screens)
* Reduced flickering (Somewhat, still flickers in certain games)

Future :

In the next release there will be a lot more features. I will keep quiet on them for now but they are coming
The next release will also come packaged with a “Battery Warning Customisation Manager” tool for the PSP. Basically it will allow you to change every setting
on the plugin and customise it right down to your exact needs.

      1mb buddy.

      • darktech

lol. forgot to read the changelog…
i was wondering, is the 1mb used before enough to disrupt the 333 cpu speed for some cso’s like gta:vice city stories?

What do you mean ”1mb buddy” *dah* this comment is soooo lame What are you NINE or are you just -oo-ish?

      • Skyline969

        @sir michael
Are you serious? You really don’t understand? /facepalm
Casper88 was answering darktech’s question. darktech asked how much memory the plugin used before, and Casper88 replied with 1mb.
So, I have to ask… “What are you NINE or are you just -oo-ish?”

Ya’ looks good but da’ psp already has an led indictor, which blinks when battery is low.so what’s da’ use?

    • mamaw

If you’re a game addict and when you play your mind puts you in the game making it unaware of the things outside the screen even the indicator so this is a good plug in

  • kira.30

does it work in 5.03 gen-c????????

  • Doritoes

Excellent, in addition to this one there’s already a battery plugin that uses the home button- which blinks a lot in-game. This plugin will be especially helpful in tandem.

  • sir michael

Thats just your own far fetched opinion, i mean you can’t be so absorved in a game like that ’cause it’s just not healthy, for example what if fire is catching around you, I mean come”on even if you did’nt spring to action your CNS* would…..
    [ie involuntarily]

    CNS* =central nervous system

  • denis_007

Well, this plugin is good, but is impossible to not see the led light blinking, and there’s the home menu to see the battery level………………………..and I agree with sir michael, it’s impossible to not see what’s happening around you (only if you are extremely dumb). If there’s a earthquake happening, you will stay playing your psp or are you going to protect yourself ????????????????

Do I have to create a folder to copy this into? I guess what I am is asking is how to install this plugin. I can’t tell you how many times my PSP has shut off right in the middle of a battle! Thanks for any help everyone!

  • ursache

Sorry to say but for me again not working!I am using a custom theme and the warning message in the theme it is visible but is not moving and in the MX vs ATV: Reflex is messed up badly!

  • FriiGamer

it’s not very smart,. if you have low battery and you plug in the charger, or if you had it plugged in before,
it still rapidly flickes up over your screen with Low Battery! :/

Tried to make it work on a PSP 3000 with Gen-C but it just doesn’t work…. It still gives me that old battery icon signal when it has low battery and then it shuts down!

  • yojo201

Last time i used this the warning made a box float over my screen when it was at full battery…

  • sir michael

cheers man! At least finally someone that agrees with mi………….

  • darktech

this plugin actually reveals a thin white rotating bar at the top of the screen in games like gta,but it doesn’t interrupt gameplay.
    it’s just a little annoying.
