has discovered yet another PSP Firmware 6.30 Exploit. Another title of an apparent Japanese UMD game. Unnamed of course at this stage. The above video demonstrates Mamosukes 6.30 he made for the exploit. This is all good news as it gives Firmware 6.30 owners a ray of hope for homebrew in the future. He also posted a FAQ on his website which is posted below (unedited).

Now I give you some information about my exploit.

Q：これはどんなexploitなの？
What is this exploit?

A：PSPの最新公式ファームウェア(6.30)で動作するセーブデータを使ったexploitです。
This is a savegame exploit for PSP that works on the latest official firmware.

Q：なんのゲーム？教えてほしいんだけど。
We want to know the name of the game.Tell us plz.
A：ゲーム名は明かせません。ビデオのみの公開です。このexploitは日本版のあるゲームを利用していますが、海外版もありますのでそちらにも同じ脆弱性はあるだろうと思います。
I can not reveal the name of its game, but now on line with only a video. My exploit in now working on JP version,but in fact, there are another regions of the game so I think it would have a same vulnerability.

Q：ビデオだけってのはFAKEじゃないの？
Only video never show us the proof of anything. Probably FAKE?
A：バイナリーローダーの段階でゲーム名を明かすと次のファームウェアアップデートで対策されることが確実なので現段階では明かすことができません。
Now I made only a binary loader. If I would say the name of the game, Sony could kill my exploit before I would release anything in the next firmware update.

Q：J416氏のexploitと同じなの？
Is yours the same as J416 exploit?
A：違います。別のゲームです。

Q：いつリリースするの？
When will it be released?
A：リリースするかどうかも含めて検討中です。少なくとも誰かさんみたいにHello Worldだけリリースするような愚かな行為はしません。もちろん対策されたら公開します。
I am going to think it over before releasing from now. But I know that I do not have to make public before getting some results: at least I am not going to release only the “Hello World” like stupid malloxXX who released patapon2 Hello World for the first time in the world. But if Sony would patch my exploit, I would release it.

Q：体験版はあるの？PSNでダウンロードできるの？
Is there a DEMO version? Can I buy it at PSN?
A：セーブできる体験版はないと思います。PSNでダウンロード購入できますが、PSP goでためしたらセーブデータ読み込んでフリーズこきました。
I have never seen a demo version which can have a savedata. We can find a downloadable version in PSN but I tried my exploit on my PSP go, it froze after reading a savedata.

    I suggest he completes the entire work then release it. If he releases it in parts then SONY could catch on and they will try and stop it from happening. So finish what you started and release the entire product (hopefully 6.30 CFW). Clearly he just showed that the Patapon 2 Demo no longer loads the Savedata on 6.30. Why? SONY caught on.

      Actually the HBL team didn’t want to do this.They wanted to say something like ,,No guys,its not just a Hello World,it is alredy able to load most of the homebrews”,but malloxis found the same exploit almost at the same time and he leaked the exploit,and thus wololo needed to release the Hello World.Sad,isnt it?

    He better be getting paid to do this. Why would you sit around all day looking for exploits in a game device that is dieing because of exploiting the system?

      Why would we lose money for something which will appear sooner or later anyway?And Jesus who is looking for exploits all the day has definitely no life…But I must admit that I’m impressed that he found 3 exploits:The Half-Boiled Exploit,and theese two exploits which recently appeared.

    This is just an endless circle, “Bob found an exploit..”, then “Bob doesn’t want to release it because Sony.. blah, blah, blah…”… then pass another 9 months, everybody forget about Bob and his “Exploit”… Sony launches a new firmware update… “Bob says that his exploit has been patched…” (Oh, Bob appeared again…) … Then Bob dissapears from the planet… Pass another couple of months (Merry Xmas…) Mike found an exploit… (for the latest firmware….) and the story repeats again…

      I really loved how u put it, laughed for like 2 minutes lol. What I really think people should do though is try to focus more on what you have and stop being greedy… also is it possible to run cso on 6.20? Someone should work on that lol

        Yeah demand to have custom firmware that will play iso and cso also psx eboot. I’m just hoping

        There are many people which disagree with ISOs and CSOs…But you got me with the prx eboot xD I also like how did SuperstarX64 put it .There are only 2 exploits which are not useless out of 100 exploits,in other words 2% of the exploits are used to make an eLoader or a HEN,the rest are just announced for cheers to the finder…

        Well…Does Mamosuke know how to code?If yes,then there may be a litle chance,but if not…Then its gonna happen just like with Flyer’s exploit:He did not know how to code,no one wanted to help him,he learned by himself how to create a binary file and a Hello World(WOW,what a progress…),and then…nothing.

    1. when he starts it up why does he always turn the screen away so we can’t see it
    2. why does he always set it down and move his hands away it looks like a pic
    3. when he set it down why was it in the same postion as the last vid

      Whats the point of keeping the name of the game secret if you show the GAME NAME PRESS START screen?The camera was a bit diffrent in the anterior exploit,so no,it isnt in the same position.For the second question the first answer is available.Should he take it backwards until the exploiting part is done?I dont think so…

      1.the reason why he turned his psp is bec. he dosen’t want to show the game logo of the UMD youlld know that if your a UMD user………
      2. have you ever tried a simple hello world exploit??…

      its best you wait if his exploit turn out as a cwf or now….

    Weve seen countless exploits ever since ChickHen, and some enable Hombrew for Fw 5.50 which im stuck at with this fucking brick. Im gonna have to sell my psp because exploits are just laying down on the ground with no progress to CFW. So long Sony and keep your fucking restricted products. Never going to buy any sony product or licensed ps3 game ever.

    I have a modded xbox 360 but i have more original games on that one that my ps3 and psp library combined.

    To find exploits, I think it takes only a little bit of knowing what MIPS instructions are (LDA means LoaD Accumulator in 6502 [NES] instruction) to begin learning about exploits and how to discover them.

    Piracy was, is, and will always be sticking around. What I don’t understand is why Nintendo hardware that is so easy to “tweak”, both home and handheld, are topping every single sales charts over Sony counterparts. Even the games themselves (that are piracy direct victims) top the sales. I’m definitely not into business affairs, but for a single human like me and many others, at the glance it seems that Piracy is not hitting the big N too much. In the other hand, Sony is closing even further its security like protecting a National Treasure, obviously they have they reasons and / or strategies. At the end this will be and endless story (Yeah, just like the ones that have a life finding exploits :) …).

    Well, people will never stop asking about cfw, bec. you knw how they are. Like PspFan, some will just have to ignore the question XP.

    I believe that Gen will save the best for last when Sony is giving in to upgrades, I just wanna have fun with what i have right now, such as umds and hbl :D
