All-in-one installers updated to 5.03 GEN-C & 5.50 GEN-D3

Forum member Skyline969 has updated his All-In-One Custom Firmware installers, now updated to include 5.50 GEN-D3 or 5.03 GEN-C depending on what PSP model you have. The installer comes in two flavours per PSP type (TA-88v3+ or pre TA-088v3 models). A more complete all in one download, which includes 5.03 OFW Firmware Update, MHUSpeed, PSPIdent, Hellcat’s Recovery Flasher (5.00 M33), 5.50 GEN-D3, CXMB, Ultimate VSH Menu. Or a lite version which contain the basics needed.

Whos it for? : These installers are good for newcomers or those that haven’t update there PSP’s custom firmware for a while. 5.00 M33 users for example. These downloads will include all you need to get onto 5.03 GEN-C or 5.50 GEN-D3.

      You need to make sure your on 5.03 OFW still…otherwise you can’t run chickHEN/MHUSpeed

    Well, it can brick your PSP, but not if you follow accordingly. You could only possible brick your 3k, if you’re a complete moron and install the wrong cfw.

        Haha, apparently HCRF 1.6 (the one I included) will NOT flash 5.00 M33 if the PSP is a TA088v3 or a 3000, so that part is idiot-proof. However, I dunno what would happen if someone tried to use the XGEN installer for 5.50 GEN-D3 straight from MHUSpeed. It’s way off on the directions, and if they do it, they deserve to brick their PSP.

      PSPTube and CXMB both work. Actually, CXMB is included with the installer, pre-configured and ready to go once you install CFW on your PSP.

      Why would you want to go to GEN-D2 from being on D3?

    I have a few questions. I have a psp 3001 running on 5.03 m33-6. Is this the latest CFW, or is 5.03 GEN-D3 the latest CFW? If not, how do i gain access to PSN? Also, the online gaming isnt working with any games i have. What can i do to fix that? thanks.

      5.50 GEN-D3 is the latest CFW. Either way, you cannot gain access to PSN on a CFW PSP, regardless of which CFW you have. There IS a plugin, however, called PSNAbler, that allows you to play PSP games online again with CFW.

      Sorry, but until someone finds an exploit and releases it, PSP 3000 users are screwed unless they have 5.03 or lower firmware.

    Sorry for sounding like a noob but I have a psp 3000 with a firmwire of 5.50 I thought because of the name of this installer i was able to hack into my psp but I’m not sure so can I hack into it or should I just sell my PSP?

      Well, at this moment if you want your PSP hacked now, you’re out of luck if you have firmware over 5.03. I sold my 3000 (although I had 5.03 OFW) and got a 2000, and I couldn’t be happier with it.

        i got PSP-2000 Motherboard TA-088 V3
        i had 5.03 firmware on my psp
        got ChickHEN R2 for Firmware 5.03 Released from here and then i just extract it on root
        and flashed it. It done perfectly. and its showing 5.03 ChickHEN R2. but not any game showing on my psp so i just got 5.03 Gen-C full……… directly went in 5.03 Gen-c and installed without flashed with picture and installed it on psp correctly… showing me 5.03 Gen-C (FULL)
        After that i got some games earlier. I made ISO folder in my psp and put some games which r cso
        klown-mxatvreflex.cso, 7 wonders, Atari Classics Evolved USA PSP. PSP – Puzzle_Bobble
        and when i went in game… it shows me icons and when i load it its just opening but later it saying
        Game could not be started (80020321)
        anyone can help me to figure it out what i m doing wrong ?

    You will have to excuse me as I am a total noob in the psp hacking world. I have a psp 3001 that came with firmware 4.21. I updated to OFW 5.03 and was able to run Chickhen R2 and CFWEnabler 3.70. Now my firmware reads 5.03MHU. Am I correct in assuming that I can now install 5.50 GEN-D3.

      You are absolutely INcorrect. However, if you follow the link at the top, you can get the Lite version of the PHA Installer and install 5.03 GEN-C, which has virtually the same functionality as 5.50 GEN-D3 but it’s for PHA PSPs, which is what yours is. 5.50 GEN-D3 is for CHA PSPs only.

      i recently got rid of my ta88v3 out of anger and frustration and traded it to gamestop for a used psp.
      you know what happened?
      i got lucky enough to get a ta85v1 that makes a pandora!
      now that i have a cha psp, i don’t know what to do…
      which firmware is more dependable?
      5.00 m33-6 or 5.50 gen?

        5.50 GEN-D3. Just use my installer and you’re good to go.

        ummm, this may seem weird, but when i look for 5.50 gen-D3 update in game/memory stick, it shows 5.50 GEN-D3 as corrupted data. anyone else have this problem?and yes, i used 5.03 to flash to m33.

        Actually darktech, there’s a fix to the corrupted data issue, as discovered by one of the users of my installers. Once you’ve updated to 5.00 M33-6, you can delete the current UPDATE folder, and then rename the GEN D3 folder to UPDATE, and that should solve the problem.

        oh, and if it’s ok, i think that it would be a lot more convenient if you included game categories plugin in the next release so the updates don’t clash.
        plus, i kept everything on the mem stick to hack my friends’ psp’s.

        I never even thought of Game Categories… plus I’d throw in my custom names (basically just renamed the uncategorized to ISOs and Recovery). I’ll keep it in mind for the new installers when custom firmwares come out.

      You can’t modify a PSP 3000 with firmware over 5.03.

    Hey I didn’t find out about this hack untill after i upgraded my PSP to OFW 6.20 do you think I should just hold on and wait until they come out with CFW for 6.20, or do you think that my firmware is patched and I wont be able to get CFW. Can anybody help me?

    I tried to use 5.50 gen c full on my PSP then I came to know that my mother board is TA-090 v2. I think that’s the reason all this cracks not workin on my psp.

    I have OFW 5.03. Now I had applied 5.03 gen-C (full) on my PSP but still the games made on the year 2006 is not workin on my psp.

    I can play monster hunter which is new
    I can play Silent hill which is new
    but can’t play any games made on year 2006 as well as new ones from year 2007

    How to put an Ctf theme on my PSP? (I have got GEN-C and I used your installer! btw It was great and easy to use)
    When I put an CTF theme on my THEMES folder then They dont appear on my psp-s themes gathecory!

    Just been given a PSP with the drive broken; I think it’s a 2000 model and it has software version 3.93. Does anyone have a walk-through idiots guide to upgrade it? I have a pandorra battery but I’m 45 years old and this stuff needs lots of explanation!!!! Cheers Mark
