9g Downgraded to 6.20

Davee uploaded online Downgrader that enables you to downgrade a 9g to 6.20 OFW. Until now 9g was able to downgrade only to OFW above 6.30. How is that possible?

After examining the 4g and 9g modules Davee found out that they have almost no difference. So he was able to find what exacly has changed and to patch it up in order to make the 9g downgrader that support 6.20.

The downgrader, however, is tested only on few PSPs so it’s still kind of dangerous operation and we are not responsible for possible brick. It was reported that 6.20 PRO B9 with permanent patch works just fine and the only thing that is not OK is that PRO B9 thinks the PSP is 4g. This is update of some1′s Downgrader v4.1 but if you are not with 9g or not downgrading to 6.20 I’ll recommend to use v4.1 instead.

So how to install :

Add both “Downgrade v5″ and “UPDATE” folders to PSP/GAME
Run the Downgrader from Game->Memory Stick
Follow the instructions on the screen.
After the install a blue screen will appear. Press O to restore your settings.(If a white screen splashes instead of the blue one turn off your PSP completely and turn it on again then as fast as you can hit the following combination of buttons : Select+Start+Square+Triangle )

Okay, so I’ve got a new problem now. I figured out that the update in the package is not correct. I downloaded a update of 6.20 from a different site. Thats okay, I went through the whole process and successfully downgraded to version 6.20. Now, wen I try to update to version 6.39, it doesn’t work. It says that data is corrupted(of the 6.39 update file). I’ve got a new headache now, please help me out with this. I can’t play my games because of this. How do I get out of this mess?

@Verdashi so u successfully downgrade ur 6.39 psp300x 09g to 6.20…. and u try to update ur psp300x to 6.39…my question is why bother downgrading it to 6.20 when ur juz goin to updated to 6.39 back? why not juz stay in 6.39? ur like a brat who get evrything u wanted ”Sorry for judging u”…will anyways i hav nvr encounter that kind of problem no psp 3000…probably the (OFW) 6.39 EBOOT file got corrupted due to downgrade….hav u tried downloading a new (OFW) 6.39 EBOOT file? and try to update again mayb that shud work if not there is nothing i can do i reach my limit of helping u… ask other ppl on FORUM for ur problem there evn more talented hacker who can understand better w/ ur psp update problem…good luck dude u need it lol.

The thing is that the 6.xx downgrader wasn’t working for me. So I thought that I should update to 6.39 after downgrading. Now, I’m really stuck.

@Verdashi u juz said u juz downgrade ur psp 300x to 6.20 and wen u try to update ur gettin an error…did u read my previews comment and try wat i juz said? 6.20 cfw is pointless on psp 300x w/ 9g model, hav u taught bout that cuz 6.20 cfw is only for psp: 1-3k, model: 1-5g so downgrading ur psp to 6.20 is sooo POINTLESS kid…u shud juz stay on 6.39 cfw…

  Please, how do i downgrade my psp 6.30 to any. I tried many E.BOOT here but it is still saying corrupted on my PC. @Verdashi, If you go on line with your PSP and go to SIGN UP FOR PLAY STATION NETWORK, I think you can upgrade your PSP there. @ MrShyCity, how do I go about it please??

@MrShyCity, i have one question to ask…is it possible to downgrade a PSP Go that has a version of 6.35 PRO-B5? you look like you know alot when it comes to downgrading..please let me know thanks

  i did downgrade my psp go from 6.35 to 6.20… as long as it 05g, it doesn’t matter.
  if u can’t downgrade from 6.35 PRO-B5, u must use the newer version of PRO-B
  i did it on PRO-B6 n PRO-B9.

@remnant_91 Im not really sure f s it support the PSP GO to downgrade juz read the Read Me txt and i seen on Youtube pple that hav PSP GO downgrade theyr GO all i kno PSP has Diff. Model so f i were u i wouldnt try missing w/ ur PSP GO juz stick the 1 u hav right now + itz a new model… hey f u like taking the risk go ahead it ur PSP…

Everything was successful until i got to the PSP ver 6.20 and i came across an error saying a later version of the system software is already installed. there is no need to update.
(CAAFFFFFCF7).
meanwhile my pspgo is on OFW 6.60 and i want to downgrade to 6.20.
am i missing something?> pls help. thanks…

recently i successfully downgraded my psp 3004 to 6.20….but after it finished downgrading this damn message showed up…”Setting Information is corrupted. Press the O button to repair and restore defaut settings.

I downgraded to 6.20 from 6.60 and now when i try to upgrade to 6.60 or any ofw the psp doesnt let me it says error what should i do

  Why would you need to upgrade?

  To update you need the downgrader because while downgrading it modifies some files in flash memory. So it works both as upgrader and downgrader.

i have a problem i hack my psp to 6.60 and when i want to presd select it not show to me any think and the setp of th update was gone and i cant now change my update to any ather costom plese help !!!!!!!

hello! i have psp 3004 with 6.60 9g, want to downgrade it, every time i try to run chronoswitch downgrader it
works ok but before start the downgrading it comes up with error.

(A later version of the system software is already installed. There is no need to update (CAAFFFFFCF7)).

please help me………!
