Here is video proof of Total_Noob’s 6.38 TN-A kernel exploit. Its 6.20 TN-E ported over to firmware 6.38. HacKmaN has posted this youtube video and again he comments it won’t be released. His comment is below. And yeah its looks as if the scene is getting ugly. It needn’t be of course..*Sigh*

this is a little video POC of Total_Noob’s already finished 6.38 TN-A. I think I don’t have to tell you much about it, it’s simply 6.20 TN-E ported for firmware 6.38.
It will never be released, you should already know this from TN’s 6.38 kernel exploit proof of concept video.
And it’s your own fault, ungrateful users, you don’t deserve this HEN.

The scene is more ugly than it has been ever before!

but 6.38=6.37. 6.38 was added only to increase stability with Qriocity. So cracking 6.38 should not have been hard. From here on out, finding exploits will be easy since Sony has not even been trying to keep hackers away since 2009.

It’s quite evident that if TN were to release a 6.38 HEN, the users that made the PSP scene the shithole it is are just gonna complain about the lack of integrated ISO loading. And we waited a year for a 6.xx hack and now were pissed that we don’t have the latest firmware hacked? If you upgraded that sucks but don’t spam TN until he gives it up please. Basically, when 6.35 PRO came out, it was a total rip off of TN-HEN with added iso loader. Then so called ungrateful people move over the hedge without any credit to TN where it’s due. Heck, I’m pissed off as well as TN is. I, on the other hand, m still with TN (A thru E) till now on 6.20, happily waiting for his next update. In fact, every single post I find asking 6.20 TN vs. 6.35 PRO on forum, I always said stay with TN. So, this is kinda a very sad news for me. Anyway, whatever u wish, TN. I can keep my cool on 6.20. np.

  Basically the PRO team made a cfw just like TN using the same exploit without giving TN credit. Then they added an iso loader so a lot of people started using PRO. This pissed tn off a little which is understandable. Pro gave him credit later but the public is still taking sides and keeping a fight that isnt theirs and already solved going. We’re called ungrateful for continually trashing the hackers who dont have to release anything and have settled their disagreement. Thats it in a nutshell.

    actualy i tried out PRO and got half my save files corrupted because of a crash. idk, im still with TN. if it is any consolation, im with TN no matter what, because he pretty much did everything i thought was not possible on a psp 3000. it was unhackable not so long ago, if you remember, and only hackable to people with lower than 5.50. 9_9 so give TN some credit for doing what could have been seen as the impossible. we owe him that much at least right? XDD

ungrateful users for me means people who aways find something to complain about in each release, specially on ISO loader build in on CFW if theres Homebrews that does it already. your games is working, bug are being fixed once they are founded, that fact other CFW comes out, is obvious that will have people who will like more CFW X than CFW Y, but be a little more grateful. TN goal is not to support piracy with ISO loader, legal backups its not 100% reality, but with an homebrew you guys who have legal backups could enjoy it with no problems.

Basically, I don’t understand what all this fracas is about ISO loaders and such. I’ve used almost nothing but the TN HENs since the release of TN-A and could not care less that it didn’t have an ISO loader built in. Wasn’t such a pain to install Prometheus and ISOtool to do this sort of thing. Minimalism appeals to me, being someone from the Unix world where tools are supposed to do one thing and do it well. I also don’t care that there’s no permanent patch for it: I’d rather not risk bricking my PSP when all I need to do in order to get the CFW back during the rare times my PSP reboots to OFW 6.20 is to run a program on the XMB.

Basically, if you’re one of those people who thinks that these are major issues, you whine far too much. What’s a few more or less clicks to get things moving? I have to jump through far more hoops to get PC games working.

One thing I do wish the present generation of CFWs could do was rip UMDs, so I don’t have to use a friend’s Phat PSP to do that for the games I’ve got, which is why I’ve been following the releases and waiting for one where such functionality becomes available. ISOtool is supposed to be able to do that, but it’s never worked under any of the CFWs I’ve tried. Also, I do wish that homebrew code for networking worked. I’ve been trying the SDK and wanted to be able to make a small server run on my PSP, but the networking example code doesn’t seem to run properly, although the other samples work just fine…

  I think there’s already a working UMD dumper for TN HEN (PSP 3k 4G). Something like umd_dump.prx (a plugin), where you press the home button, and it dumps the umd onto MS. I did it when the plugin came out with my KH:BBS. It’s on pspslimhacks btw, I downloaded it from here.

guys,ive got a broken SELECT button and is stuck on 6.20l.icant use 6.20 tn-d because it hangs on main menu after loading the eboot(since select is being pressed continously).also i cant use the 6.20 pro b5 as it shuts off after i press the first X.i have a psp 1000 fat.any helps.also i cant use macrofire.

I just don’t get this at all… People are going to exploit 6.38 whether it be TN or not, and Coldbird and VF seem to be the likely candidates, especially considering they have pretty good knowledge of how TN exploited 6.20, and shouldn’t have much trouble finding and using the 6.38 exploit. This is the part I don’t understand: With the Genesis Competition right around the corner, and the possibility of a 6.38 exploit being clearly EPIC (6.35 and 6.20 have been done obviously), EPIC enough to win Genesis, and seeing as how TN has malcontent for the “scene”, why not enter this in Genesis (it will clearly win). By doing so, he can flip the bird to the “scene”, and walk away with thousands of their dollars. Hell, even if he never codes another plugin or anything for the PSP, he can at least make his work to this point worth something (not to us, but to him for a change).

I for one appreciate all he has done up to this point, because without TN’s work there would be no 6.20 PRO, no 6.20 TN, no 6.35 PRO, hell, no fuckin Ultimate VSH Menu (which i LOVE by the way ). Everyone stop crying. To cry and complain about this dude not wanting to release something because he feels unappreciated makes you look rediculous. We would be NOWHERE right now without TN, the scene would have COMPLETELY DIED without his work.   Thumbs up to you buddy. I backed up my entire UMD collection on my PC, and I don’t play any games that I don’t own. Kudos, wish I could thumbs up your comment. A hacked PSP is FAR MORE than game stealing. Homebrew games, homebrew apps, PSX’s, that’s where its at. I love the fact that I can play my old PS1 games again too. Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 2… FTW!!!
