6.20 TN-E (HEN) Released.

Total_Noob has released 6.20 TN-E (HEN) this version is so much more than the other releases. Like the other 6.xx CFW’s this one adds everything else you would expect from TN. There is no perm patch yet on this one. The changelog is below and the download is that of the fix release. Total_Noob removed a few bugs from this mornings release.

- Added sceUmdMan_driver patch (umd4hombrew is not necessary anymore).

FINAL FANTASY VIII — POPSLOADER

I’m using TN-E and I’m using the fixed version now.I had problems like I thought that it already support multi eboot but when I choose to play FF8 it give me a black screen forever…And futher more it disabled my ISO loader “OPEN IDEA”…Hoping also next release will enable POPSLOADER option because of its usefulness in other earlier PSX games.Hope TN_Noob can read this. Thanks a lot.

Here is my system:PSP GO 6.20

I already use 6.20 pro-b4 before but still gives me black screen. My ff8 eboot is working on my PSP 3000. I just want to use my PSP GO because it is much easier to bring.
I done this but still no luck:
-Disabled all plugins
-Uninstall all HEN/CFW enabler on PSP GO
-Restore default Settings
-Re install 6.20 PRO-B4
*Still gives me a forever black screen!
Can I ask?What is your system and where you download your 6.20 PRO-B4 you said that is working? THANK YOU BRO!

About that… It will work but like the older time, though I don’t know what is the latest POP loader. I’ve try playing multi disc in FFVIII first it will not start because of the cutscenes but if you played a PSN FFVIII and had a saved data to bypass a cutscenes. Playing FFVIII multi disc work but cutscenes are troublesome.

What I mean about POP loader is a another extra POP loader support that can switch to play a cutscenes or bypass a cutscenes. Like the older time in older versions they have to hold L or R trigger I think to switch another POPloader to bypass something.

Have the same problem as you. I have created a multi eboot with just about every multi-disk creator out there. It just wont work lol.

Im using a PSP 3000 6.20 TN-E-Fix and have tried multiple times to get it working to no avail. Single disk works but is very buggy (likes to freeze with draw command)

If it really supports multidisk EBOOT then it should work in any customed EBOOT. My FF8 multi EBOOT is from “CHESKA”. I used it on my PSP 3000 with 5.03 Prometheus and its working fine. They said 6.20 PRO-B4 support any EBOOT, no need to use POPSLOADER but i think no! Hope TN-E and PRO-B4 next update supports POPSLOADER Plugin and fully functional multidisk EBOOT, then I might say it is the best Custom firmware!!! Cheers!

It depends which way you think.Dont get me wrong,I am a PRO user (and its awesome!!!),but all the things TN and VF and Coldbird have on their HEN/LCFW originate from Dark_Alex’s SE,OE and M33 CFWs. so in a sense , everyone is copying each other, and its not a bad thing is it ?, it enables people to easily switch CFW/HEN without the need of adding plugins or learning the functiouns all over again to use it properly(<-spelling?)

The difference is that they used TN’s work to make those features happen. He probably doesn’t care if they have the same features, just whether or not they did it on their own. On the other hand, it’s possible that TN used features from previous CFWs and adapted it to 6.20 on his own without using the work that the PRO team did.

ISO/CSO support is incorrect, you may want to correct that….i think this misunderstanding has something to do with the UMD4HOMEBREW thing, but whatever that is, it doesn’t mean ISO support.

You still need to use aloader for ISO/CSO.

I’m dualbooting PRO-B4 and TN-E and it really is hard to choose which one I like best, they’re both amazing, and I think i will keep them both.

You can only dualboot both if you don’t have the perm patch installed…….. uninstall the perm patch and you can run both.

I think the surprise was supposed to be a permanent patch, but from what they say on psp-hacks, TN bricked a PSP trying to develop a perm patch, so he may abandon that idea, or come back to it later.

There is no ISO support in TN-E, that was our own misinterpretations.
How can something that doesn’t even exist be good or bad?
Using aloader allows you to play most ISO/CSO games though, so it’s not a huge difference

The surprise originally may have been a perm patch, but according to other sources TN bricked a psp while trying to develop one, so he may explore a little more into that later, or possibly not at all……. the password feature would be nice with a perm patch though.

The XMB integration is awesome…very professional looking.
For me this is the best looking FW yet and really smooth operation.
I can even underclock the XMB CPU speed to 133 and it’s still smooth as standard FW.
My other PSP with PRO on it I have to set the XMB CPU to 300 to make it smooth as standard FW.
Both TN & PRO are excellent…we should all be grateful that there is so much choice these days.

There is no ISO support, in TN-E, somebody read something wrong somewhere…….. TN will never build an ISO loader into his HEN, it would be great if he did, but he didn’t he won’t and he never will.

Im glad TN is still at work on his lcfw to give people different options, however like everyone else is saying whats the big surprise? & for all you people wondering what to use (tn-e or pro-b4) why not use them both like me & see for yourself? They both run fine on the same console as long as you don’t use pro’s perm patch & if one is released for tn-e i would suggest not using that either. Sure people will complain about the boot time but c’mon guy’s… its like 10 seconds not even! and atleast this way you can decide for yourself what you prefer before using perm patch.

Just thought i should note so people don’t get confused with my last post, when you are running tn-hen you must hold the power button off then turn your psp back on to boot up pro-b4, if you are running pro-b4 there seems to be no problem just running tn-hen from the xmb to boot into it.

Good release, I really like the TN Settings menu. If only you could reboot VSH from there, you wouldn’t even need the VSH-menu at all to activate the plugins

Anyhow, I got a question. Does this release support any popsloaders? The multi-disc support was my most anticipated feature to have, but alas, only my Final Fantasy IX eboot works like it should, Metal Gear Solid doesn’t boot up at all (I remember having the same problem with Gen-D ways back, MGS was one of those games that absolutely needed a popsloader for multidisc).

Anyone know? I already tried the old, made-for-Gen-D poploader, but that didn’t work.

After a bit more digging around, it seems the answer is no, due to the considerably large structural differences between the older (5.50′ish) firmwares compared to 6.00. Well, damn, I was looking forward to some MGS action >_<

Use both , Prob4 update version only (no perma patch) and tn-e 6.20 both have different psx/homebrew compatiblity add aloader too its easy to turn off in prob4 and on in tn-d

6.20 TN-E isn’t good , it don’t run isos or csos but he has a good plugin manager , use PRO B4 it’s better it has the Inferno Driver that runs almost any iso and it’s perm , but if you prefer TN-E Download the aLoader , it’s like openidea but it’s better.

To install aloader you just download it and copy the .prx file to the folder seplugins ,and add to your vsh.txt this:
For 1000,2000,3000:
ms0/seplugins/(the name of the .prx file)
For Go:
ef0/seplugins/(the name of the .prx file)

Prometheus 0.1 works perfect for Dante’s Inferno. Or try aloader. Haven’t tried yet but pretty sure it works for it too. I have 6.20 TN-E on 3001 and all is well.

Very simple. Place the folder containing the EBOOT.PBP file(should say 620 Tn-e) in the GAME folder, download prometheus iso loader 0.1 (recommended for newbies like us) and also place in the GAME folder. Create a new folder next to the PSP folder and name it ISO and place all your iso or cso games here. All PSX games go in the GAMES folder. Start your psp, go to games on the memory stick and start TN Homebrew enabler. Then start Prometheus pick a game and Voila!!!!!!!!!!!!

i guess not.. TN clearly said that he will never makes ISO loader because he against piracy as some of us do sharing the iso file rather than backup it from the legal umd.. So, i think he will stand on his words.. However, to run ISO in TN-E is increadibly easy.. Just use the latest aloader plugins..

Yeah, Pro-B5 is released. It also doesn’t work right. PSX loading fails and xmb is slow and laggy. There will probably be a fix soon, like with TN-E, but I went back to Pro-B4. Pro-B5 just isn’t ready yet. Can’t wait till it is though.

I personally think 96% of you should stfu, i don’t see any of you doing anything better then complaining. Blablablabl no loader, blablablabla pro this and that, do everyone a favor and plz shut it. If you don’t have anything good to say don’t say anything at all.

If your so dissapointed about not having a built in loader of all things, leave and don’t come back. There are tons of perfectly working loaders or plugins which allow your big “Obsessions” with having to load your games from the xmb, seriously it’s not a big fucken deal.

My saves are all corrupted now since I updated to this. Is there a way I can fix this. If not, os there a way I can go back to 5.00m33 ?
