6.20 TN-D Permanent patch

Share

I’m a little hesitant on posting this one…Still its up to you guys to take the risk or not. That is if your boots into saving you 20 seconds or becomes a plastic brick and door stop.

has released a patch that will write to flash0 and give your PSP a permanent 6.20 TN-D state. Its risky, so try this on only PSP-1000 or PSP-2000′s pre TA-88v3′s or ones that can take a Pandora battery. There have been some reports of success and reports of bricks on PSP Go systems. Its risky and I personally don’t think its worth the risk to save 20 seconds or so.

Edit: Ok so there is a test mode, run this first. If it fail, you’ll brick so don’t flash it!

Absolute rubbish to me. 90% of the times i play old PSX classics on my PSP which i converted from my old game discs. They play just fine on 6.20 TN-D, but when on this permanent patch, they just lock up at a black screen. Not even the PlayStation logo shows. It happens for all the games so i’ll just stick to the normal TN-D or go back using 5.50 GEN-D.

i need a bug fix for this patch my games freeze after some minutes using any loader…

      • NeW 1

Which games? if you mean PSX games then yeah it freezes because of a bug in the patch. If you mean the ISO/CSO games, use ISO Tool (latest version) to make XMB game icons so you can play the games straight from the XMB; it worked completely fine for me. Let me know how it goes.

      • http://www.google.com Bill Gates

See when i start a cso/iso game in normal tn-d with a loader iso tool or any iso loader i can play it normailly but with tnd permanent the game freezes in about 2 minutes and i have to restore defaults. then it works properly for sometimes and then again the same old thing

…….as of now 5.03 gen c and 5.50 gen d3 are the best cfw because 6.20 have a lot of bugs to fixed and it takes a lot of time for the good improvement to fixed those bugs..5.03 and 5.50 gen d3 are equal and it runs newly release games and theres a lot of cfw can install 4 these firmwares naruto kizuna drive god eaters burst and final fantasy dissidia 012 can play thrue cfw gend3 and genc by installing prom cfw..lots of 6.20 users complaining of game crushes and bugs they observed..these is only my opinion and my opinion to those comments i’ve read.. those who have 5.03 and 5.50 wait for the time that 6.20 tn cfw series have a good improvement before u update to 6.20 fw..as of now much better to stick for a while for ur cfw..genc and gend3 are easy to manage..tn-d permanent is good but some newly games doesnt run..for genc and gend3 users its better to play games smothly than updating fw which theres a lot crushes..

    • Acid_Snake

try using a different converter like popstation, popsconv… etc until you get done

  • Amareal

@Menace_menace-probably you have a bad rip of the iso..that works fine under TN-D

  • Apollo

well it works on my 3001 just fine so if u thinking to use permanent patch u MUST USE TEST MODE FIRST so u’ll know if it’ll work.

Does FTB3 go online with 6.20 TN along with the PSNabler.prx?

  • Jhon

It worked on my psp 3004 perfectly no crashes nothing

Were you responding to my question or in general?

  • http://N/A NeW 1

Hi guys. I just tested this permanent patch on my PSP and it worked fine, (since i used the test run feature twice just to make sure). Here are the details of my PSP.

PSP silver (bought it Dec 2009)
    2003 slim model (European)
    TA-088v3 motherboard

That’s right! this patch works on a TA-088v3 motherboard even though these types are stated unhackable!

    • PSPgo user

1000,2000 series are fully hackable dude…

      • NeW 1

Not if they have the TA-088v3 mobo; the only exception is of course TN D patch. By the way, for those that have problems running PSX games, i’ve tested ‘Marvel vs Capcom – Clash of Superheroes’ and it worked fine under the the TN D permanent patch.

  • Anonymous

    worked fine on 2003 slim

  • Rommelogs

is this capable for motherboard ta-088v3? i just want to make sure.

    • NeW 1

Yes, i was completely hesitant like you too. But then i read that some people tried it on their TA-088v3 mobo PSP and so i gave it a try. Don’t worry, just use test mode and if it returns you to the XMB/main menu then it’s fine; if it crashes then don’t install it. Also bear in mind that there are two patch versions: one with the sony logo and one without. The one wihout will load PSPs quicker. Also you can’t ‘directly’ play PSX games because there’s a bug that causes it to crash; unless you load the standard TN HEN D enabler first. Hope this info helps bro.

  • eviLucifer

Has anyone tried on PSPGo and fat? I’m gonna try on my slim (2k) 1st.

  • DAud_IcI

Even if I had the guts to try this I’d probably faint from excitement and drop my PSP so it would shatter into a million pieces.

    • NeW 1

“Even if I had the guts to try this…”

don’t worry, TN HEN D patch is safe (there’s a good reason why Virtuousflame added a ‘test run’ feature in the patch installation). I launched the test run like twice on my TA-088v3 mobo PSP and both results were OK.

    • lol

  • HornedReaper

If I wanted to write to flash I would just update to 6.35 Pro as it has better iso support, I use tn hen because its safe & runs from the ram.

  • rahul

    can we run FuSa_SD plugin

  • Amareal

NeW 1 just stated that this worked under ta088-v3..thank for that bro

  • fadhli7

Can we use psn enabler plugins for this?

    • NeW 1

You CAN use certain ones, but there are reports that some plugins cause the TN HEN D patch to not boot and so you’ll get a black screen. If you come across this then do the following:

“If the machine cannot start because of the vsh plug-in, boot by pressing R button, this will delete all the seplugins plug-ins list and flash1: / config.tn. If the flash0: / vsh / module / vshorig.prx is damaged, boot by pressing O + X + SELECT + START button to copy ms0: / vshorig.prx to flash0: / vsh / module / vshorig.prx”

i got this info from another website (pspslimhacks i think)

      • fadhli7

        Ok. Thanks for the info…

  • cooldog

tn -d hen perm works but i dont know how to go to recovery mode

    • Acid_Snake

there isnt any recovery menu like M33, GEN or ME.

  • jukel

WTF!!!! can you make a permanent patch with a complete update? i mean, like 6.35 pro-b3 which can play ISO on xmb without any plguins and psx games… i think this patch is a waste of time knowing that its not complete. still waiting for any good permanent patch for the psp 3k.

  • Lenz

Will only work with PSP-2003 Ice Silver version, all others it spits up an error message that simply says ‘Unable to function error: 02817593′ – just to let you know… I’ve heard there are methods to get it working on the PSP-3000 involving soldering on the main circuit board, but I sure as heck am not trying that, I’m not mad!

    • NeW 1

Lenz, can you give me the website link from where you got that info? Thanks

  • Dbrandy

Hey dude, why confuse others if haven’t comfirmd ‘em yourself.
Guys, TN-D Patch is tested and worked perfectly well on PSP 3000s ta-88v3 mobo. Its totally safe..

    • NeW 1

I’ve already confirmed that it works on the TA-088v3 PSPs. Didn’t you read my statement above? Anyway, if you’ve installed the one with the sony logo, i suggest you install the one without the sony logo as it makes the PSP load faster at boot time and after exiting a game.

  • MalMan

I tried this on my psp-3003 and it failed miserably. i did everything i should’ve and it still messed up. i went back to 6.35 pro-b2. every time i tried to load my psp with the memory card inserted it just turned off again and then i took it out and it booted. but it was very glitchy. i tried putting in a memory stick again and uninstalling but it just shut it of again. there isnt any point with this i personally think.

    • NeW 1

Incase you might retry the TN Patch in future, i would recommend that you backup your memory stick, format it, restore default settings and then try it. Hope it works out for you bro. By the way, 6.35 pro-b3 is out.

      • MalMan

Yeah, thats what i decided to do. its easier and simpler in my case, i dont really feel TN firmware is for me anyway.

@Awing- go to this site http://www.atmaxplorer.com/2011/01/games-compatibile-with-prometheus-iso-loader/ Now tell me if this hen isnt good. I repeat its not in the HEN issue..its in the patch and driver of the iso loader.

I keep trying different recovery menus, but everytime i enter any recovery menu it deletes my game and vsh txt files from my plugins; i think its the permapatch bug. Is there a fix for this? Psp 3000 03g module 6.20tn-d.

ok… some info for others to consider…
    i got a PSP 3002 series….
    psp brite ( 3G )
    motherboard is a TA-090 v2
    so from 6.35 PRO-B3…
    i downgraded to 6.20..
    then install 6.20 TN D..
    then TN D perma PATCH…..
    then this RECOVERY MENU….
i did not brick my PSP luckily…
but again…. when i hold the R Trigger when booting for the RECOVERY MENU…
    it just deletes my VSH.txt
    how stupid….
so i upgraded to 6.35 PRO B3 again..
    wahahaha…..

    but i got a question..
because when i was installing the PERMA PATCH of TN D..
then i selected for the TEST to be conducted… it just rebooted my psp…
does the “REBOOT” mean that i pass the TEST or not????

    • New !

When you initiate the ‘test run’ it would normally take you back to the XMB/main menu of your PSP, not reboot it. If the patch’s test run taking you back to the XMB is what you mean by reboot, then yes your PSP passed the test (you should be less worried than me since i installed it onto my TA-088v3 PSP lol). And besides, you stated that you’ve installed the patch sucessfully, why would you ask about the test run?

      • HeMI

        thanks for the info dude….
it just return to the XMB menu….
        that means i PASSED…
        hehehe

        thanks anyway..

  • New 1

Bill Gates: “See when i start a cso/iso game in normal tn-d with a loader iso tool or any iso loader i can play it normailly but with tnd permanent the game freezes in about 2 minutes and i have to restore defaults. then it works properly for sometimes and then again the same old thing.”

Alright, i think i had this problem before. If the game freezes, bring up the VSH menu and set the CPU speed to ‘default’. And then restart it. If it still doesn’t work, give the name of the game(s) and i’ll try and see what i can do.

  • batas2011

    Yeah… works for me i have PSP 3004 (3g)

    • batas2011

why it reboots on iso/homebrew exit?? (psp 3004)

      • NeW 1

It’s a bug in the patch. Install the patch ‘without the sony logo’ as this will take less time when booting/restarting.

  • Navin

Well I have PSP 3006 v6.20 and there is no problem with TN-D permenant patch. Absolutely flawless. You can name it any game,I can play iso/cso directly no longer need to load the iso loader. The patch is now come together with Aloader, so when ever you start an iso/cso game u will see a Aloader startup screen before it start the game. Well not sure whether ur motherboard support this patch. Don’t worry just use TN enabler and just run the patch if it goes bakc to ur PSP main menu then it works fine you can go ahead and patch the TN-D permenant Patch, if not just forget it and just use TN enabler and load either Prometheus iso loader or Aloader.

Great Job. I am playing games like God of War Ghost of Sparta and etc.Even new games run flawlessly.

  • KJ

Hi guys im new to this thing can somebody give me a link or step by step for CFW my PSP-3004 OFW 6.0 so that i can play CFW games thanks much…

  • CREEnana

Will this brick my PSP3000(4G) TA-093?

    • Navin

Well you can use the TN enabler and run the TN-D permenant patch. If it run and goes back to main menu than it is works but if not just forget it and use TN enabler. Well the steps you can find in youtube. Check out there

    • Navin

Load TN Enabler and disable Flash0 then run PSP Ident detect ur motherboard version or try to run Permanent TN-D patch in TN enabler first . If id does go back to main menu or XMB then yor PSP is hackable. Well the instruction is clearly stated in youtube.

  • NeW 1

guys, i just want to say that i have installed PRO-B4 permanent patch on my TA-088v3 PSP and it worked exactly the same as the TN Patch; test mode, installation etc. The PRO-B4 can load CSO/ISO and PS1 games staright from XMB and when you exit a game, it doesn’t restart like the TN patch does. Plus it has a built in recovery mode. So IMO, this patch is definitely worth taking a look at. All credits to Total Noob and LiquidZiGong, thanks guys:)

    • Navin

Well I have Updated to 6.20 TN-D permenant patch, My question is can I upgrade to 6.20 Pro-B4 directly or need to roll back to OFW6.20?

      • Navin

Can I install 6.20Pro-b4 directly from 6.20tn-d permanent patch? If can How I can go about it. Does 6.20pro-b4 can support Fusa-SD plugins.

      • NeW 1

Alright, if you have TN D patch already on your PSP, you first need to run the TN HEN D patch to ‘uninstall’ it. Then download PRO-b4 and in the folder you’ll find three folders. Put all three into the GAME folder of your PSP. First run the ‘update’ file to oad the PRO-B4 HEN onto your RAM. Then you run the patch file and follow the instructions exactly the same as TN HEN. Make sure you disable flash0 protection first.

  • ichan29ichan

damn!! only psp game can play……..ps1 games turns black screen!!

    • NeW 1

Try PRO-B4 patch. exactly the same as TN D Patch but much better: built in iso loader, fast loading of games, its own recovery menu and the ability to play PS1 games. No need of ISO Tool anymore.

      • ichan29ichan

only one problem…i dont know how to remove 6.20perma patch!

      • ichan29ichan

the only proble is..i dont know how to remove 6.20 perma patch

  • ichan29ichan

the only problem is…i dont know how to remove 6.20perma patch!

    • NeW 1

Alright i heard you the first time lol. So you have 6.20 TN D patch installed and now want to remove it. You simply run the TN D Patch like normal and then the first thing that will come up will be the option for you to uninstall it. Press X to uninstall the patch. that’s it. BTW, 6.20 PRO-B5 is out already so i’d install that if i were you.

  • XGSlayer
