The wait is finally over! has released via PSPGEN. A big day indeed for the PSP scene. So grab your PSP-2000 TA-88v3+, PSP-3000 or PSP Go. And get ready for some homebrew enabled fun.

Firstly 6.20 TN-A (HEN) needs to be run on a PSP system with Firmware 6.20 and you’ll need . Grab that below:

So if you haven’t got HBL already, grab the latest Half Byte Loader release here.

6.20 TN-A (HEN) Instructions:

Installation:

  • Download the 6.20 TN (Below)
  • Connect your PSP to the computer via USB
  • Place your PSP in “USB mode“ with the option “USB Connection“
  • Right-click on the file you downloaded,
  • Choose “Extract Files …”( WinRAR is advised)
  • Choose like destination the letter assigned to your PSP from your computer.
  • Press OK and wait extraction files,
  • Leave the “USB Mode“on your PSP
  • In the XMB go to PSP/GAME And start the Patapon 2 demo (DL save game Below) and run Half Byte Loader.
  • In the menu of HEN, select HEN
  • Wait a few seconds your PSP will reboot!
  • You will be automatically returned to the XMB.
  • Congratulations, now enjoy your homebrew.

Update: 6.20 TN-A HEN crashing?

PSP Go Owners: Ok my PSP Go works and then later it crashes out on second attempts to load 6.20 HEN. There is a fix it seems. For PSP Go owners, try this in the hbl folder edit the hbl_config.txt and remove this line override_sceIoMkdir=-1 it should then boot dispute displaying a memory leak error.

PSP-3000/TA88v3+ owners:

You can try the TN HEN unofficial patch for PSP-3000 by vflame: TN Hen_UO_vflame.

Some other tips I’ve noticed that have helped users looking at the comments:

  1. After the HEN is loaded, remove the memory stick, then select “Reset VSH” from the VSH Menu (accessed by pressing select at the XMB). Once the reset has completed, insert the memory stick and run your homebrew. This must be repeated each time you load a new homebrew.
  2. Disable or remove vMenu for HBL, this is causing issues it seems
  3. Try changing the hbl_config.txt. Editing or commenting out variables has helped some users
  4. Try a format and start over fresh with a new install of everything. (Don’t forget to back up your memory first!)
  5. PSP Go and PSP-2000 TA88v3 users, remove override_sceIoMkdir=-1 from the hbl_config.txt. See if it helps
  6. Don’t use any plug-ins, keep ms0:/seplugins empty for now as most plug-ins do not work on 6.20 TN HEN anyway.

Prerequisites:

Installation : Installation:

  • Téléchargez le 6.20 TN Download 6.20 TN
  • Connectez votre PSP à l’ordinateur via USB Connect your PSP to the computer via USB
  • Passez votre PSP en ” mode USB ” grâce à l’option “Connexion USB” Pass your PSP in “USB mode” with the option “USB Connection”
  • Cliquez avec le bouton droit sur le fichier que vous avez téléchargé, Right-click on the file you downloaded,
  • Choisissez “Extraire les fichiers…”(Winrar est conseillé) Choose “Extract Files …”( WinRAR is advised)
  • Choisissez comme destination la lettre affectée à votre PSP par votre ordinateur. Choose like destination the letter assigned to your PSP from your computer.
  • Appuyez sur OK et attendez l’extraction complète des fichiers, Press OK and wait extraction files,
  • Quittez le “Mode USB” de votre PSP Quit the “USB mode” on your PSP
  • Rendez-vous dans le menu Jeu > Memory Stick pour lancer la démo de Patapon 2 et activez le . Go to the menu Thursday> Memory Stick to start the demo for Patapon 2 and activate the Half Byte Loader.
  • Dans le menu du HEN, sélectionnez HEN In the menu of HEN, HEN select
  • Patientez quelques secondes Wait a few seconds
  • Vous retournerez automatiquement au XMB. You automatically return to the XMB.
  • Félicitations, profitez dorénavant de vos homebrews. Congratulations, now enjoy your homebrew.

Lancement d’homebrews : Homebrew running:

Contrairement au Half Byte Loader qui permettait de lancer les homebrews, peu importe leur emplacement dans le Momory Stick, le HEN ne lancera que les homebrews placés dans PSP/GAME. Unlike Half Byte Loader that allowed homebrew to run, regardless of their location in the Momory Stick, HEN will not run that put the homebrew in PSP / GAME. Les packs RTU (Ready to Use, prêt à l’emploi) que nous vous proposons dans nos articles installent les homebrews dans ce dossier automatiquement. Packs RTU (Ready to Use, ready to use) that we offer in our products install the homebrew in that folder automatically.

    I am having the same problem as Supernoob. It tells me that the save file is “corrupt.” please help. :) Thanks in advance! (Also, my device is a psp GO if that matters…I’m not very wise on how to do this…)

    i guess we have the original memory card so we can have smooth game play . if we are using clone memory card we might having problem like hanging and crushing. i tried the orig mem card i dont have probs with the loading and i can play games ^^ thats my expereince

      u must have iso folder in ur psp directory, the HBL will locate the iso game in ur iso folder

    im having problem, my psp is version 5.03 gen b, and then i upgraded it to version 6.2. i follow your video, it works. but when i started the game i , the game crashes. and also when i exit the game and i will start the iso loader the prometheus loader does not response and the psp shut down , so i have to start all over again to play the game. can anyone help me? can i downgrade it to 5.03 again?
