The PSP-3000 TIFF Exploit.

The . Proof it works....

True to his word has released Version 2 of his Hello World TIFF Exploit. This version works on PSP Slim units and we have reports from users that it even works on the PSP-3000! That’s a added bonus. As for the “bit of awesomeness” promised we have to wait just a little longer for that.

MaTiAz’s notes:

Just copy the files to the memory stick root, disconnect USB and go to photo menu. Don’t dismiss the exploit even if it doesn’t work on the first time, it’s *very* unstable. You might get it working on the first time, but you might as well have to try it 20 times!

The h.bin is loaded to 0×08800000, and the text address of paf.prx is passed in $a0 to the binary code. You can then trick out function imports, like for example sceDisplayWaitVblankStart: sceDisplayWaitVblankStart = (void*)(paf_addr+0x15F068);

Instructions:
1. Copy either slim.tiff or phat.tiff to /PSP/PHOTO/ folder on the memory stick, depending on
your PSP model. Do NOT copy both!
2. Copy h.bin to the root of the memory stick.

Also its reported to be working on the PSP-3000 () Try the following: (Thanks to anonymous for the tip!)

From p2s2p: The interesting thing is, they didn’t think it would work for 3000s but it does! Here is what you have to do…follow the same instructions for the slim, but then throw in about 5 or 8 other pics in your photo folder, and when the thumbnails are loading, you have to scroll up and down, and then the PoC should boot up. You need at least 5.02 on a 3000 to work this.

    Sorry but on PSP-3004 TA-9.0v2 the script is not working…the psp system is freezing the screen and after 4-5 seconds shuts down…..i tried for about 10 times..the same thing…it just keeps freezing…

    my current firmware is 5.00 m33-6 by dark alex.

    i already put the h.bin in the main folder of my memory stick and the slim.tiff has been put on the photos folder..

    Guys i cant get it to work…i put the bin fle in the main menu and tiff images in the PICTURE folder but still it crashes!!

    I think its just for firmware 5.03 not 5.00 M33-6. That’s why it will not work. Why not try on your PSP-3000 with firmware 5.03? And please let us know if it works.

    still nothing for me … i have a psp 3000 with fw 5.03 … and still not working with all the instructions followed correctly … do you need the original mem stick for it? … certain types of pictures? … not sure what to do …

    Has worked for a bunch of us. Just make sure you at least firmware OFW 5.00 on a PSP 3000. Then put 5 to 8 pics (jpegs) in the PHOTO folder. Then navigate to the PHOTO folder and scroll up an down when the thumbnails are loading. It should boot.

    I used PSP 3006 OFW 5.02 , My Folder ‘Pictures’ contain 5-8 Pics and slim.tiff . My root Folder also have ‘h.bin’
    Still not Work. (TRY Many Times)

    works perfectly on psp 3004,
    get 5-8 photos in photo dir. and picture dir go to photo>memstick now scroll down, up,down ,up and then slowly down it should boot the exploit

    My PSP is 3006 with OFW 5.02. I did all the instruction, scroll up and down about three times then the window of “hello wold by MaTiAz” pop out then after a while it shut down. Hope to play ISO soon. Thanks MaTiAz, malloxis, FreePlay, Archaemic, wololo, Cloudy, Davee ,etc.

    If your PSP is freezing while attempting to lauch the image, I suggest you add some other pictures (not other copies of the TIFF file.) And then go in your PSP’s photo menu scroll down slowly, and it loads itself.(Maybe you will need to launch the image itself, but I didn’t need to, while scrolling down, it booted itself.)

    I have a PSP 3001 with 5.02 OFW. I copied the files into the correct folders an have tried to load this about fifty times. Every time it freezes on one of the eight pictures for about ten seconds then turns off. Any suggestions ???

    hello guys i have a psp 2003 and i think it has a ta-88 bla bla you know the one that can`t be craked with pandora and. this exploit seems to do nothing to help. i loaded the files but when i go to psp/picture it frezees and then turns it self off pls help . thx. ps : thx for trying to help us all

    It doesn’t work all the time, I would say 1/4, but it’s pretty random.

    well im done complaining about my psp not being able to get this thing to work … finally got it working … for those that are having the same issue … try resetting your psp settings in the system options … it did the trick for me … homebrew here we come!!! :)

    I guess we will need to wait until a more stable version is released, until then, can’t say it’s perfect but at least it got to the black screen.

    I’m guess for all of the people’s psp that are crashing is because the firmware is not 5.3.

    i formated my memory stick and reset the system systems and it worked on my PSP-3004 firmware 5.03.

    Good work guys. Now for that Homebrew enabler!!

    Okay, after many times trying over and over and over and over and over!!!! i finally got this to work on my psp-3001 with OFW 5.03. i used a 1gb lexar memory stick. my god it only took a whole day and maybe 547358947354 trys, but i worked.

    aight i got the tiff image tho and got a slim official firmware 5.03 never did nothing to my psp till today, BUT IT FREEZZZ SAME PROB AS AEon44 AND THAT NEW NAME GUY LOL., i got some cso file on the game folder to chek if it plays them but nada ,, any HEEEEEEEEEEEEEELp
