Its only been a few days and Dark_AleX has released Custom Firmware 5.00 M33 at lightning speed.
Apart from the obvious firmware number change (see below), this update comes with a bug fix.
Dark_AleX:
Bug fix: when changing speed in xmb, and the psp turned the brightness to 0 automatically the speed was reseted to 222 again.
The readme also mentions that users of the save state plug-in will have to wait for an update due to problems with compatibility.
You will need Official PSP Firmware 5.00 below:

i have bought anew psp 3004……………….i awant to run free games on it…………..so if there is any such firmware available for 3004 like M33 please let me know……………….i will be very greatful to you………………thanks a lot……………….

i hav 3004 ,but its joystick got damaged .i gav it to service station but they update my psp from 5.03 to heigher fw . do i hav any option left now?? or i just hav to wait for hen 3
