4.01 M33-2 and 4.01 M33 1.50 kernel add-on

Dark_Alex has released 4.01 -2, this update fixes a few small bugs that were present in 4.01 . Also at the same time Dark_Alex has released the 1.50 kernel add-on for PSP fat owners.

* NID resolver: Fixed scePowerGetCpuClockFrequency issue. This is the same bug that happened in 3.80 M33-1, it won’t happen again ??

* Fixes recovery problems that have appeared in prior version (incorrect position of back string in language others than English, enable, and disabled strings not translated in plugins, hide pic0+pic1 couldn’t be changed, language file in flash1 wasn’t working..

* Spanish recovery translation typos fixed.

    you need to have sony 1.50 eboot.pbp , then you need to change the name of the eboot to(150.pbp). do not put in any fold in you psp, you have to put it in the main root of the mem stike. you open your mem stike and then put it there. after put the 1.50 Kernnel addon in you game fold of your psp and then run the addon .
    this worked for me. hope it helped.

    I know Yggdra Union (The CSO that I have) needs this cfw to play. As in it doesnt work with the 3.80 m33-3, not sure about 3.90 though…

    Hey all,
    I was on 3.80m33-2 pspslim. After following the required procedure above (copy update folder into E:\PSP\Game\Update (E is my psp memcard drive) the update folder contains Eboot.pbp initially. Without removing that I copied official firmware in as 401.pbp and then booted my psp. After installing the firmware I got the error note (Update Failed please contact technical support (FFFFFFFFE) and then my PSP seems to have bricked (turns on for about 15seconds, screen displays nothing at all then turns off). Anyone can help me please! for those who would scream at me for not researching sorry, but total noob at upgrading so dont understand much of what i read.

    Ei i have a cfw 3.90 m33-3 and i updated to 4.01 m33-2… after updating runs normal everythings fine… but after 3 days i remove the battery and put it back after that it wont power up… i dont know what happened… but after a few days i put it back the same battery and it power up, but this time the signal light for low batt does’nt work anymore and no stand by time left…*_* any idea bout this…? pls. mail me… thanks in advance!!!

    Guys i have a 3.9 PSP SLIM without any CFW. I have just downloaded games into ISO format and reading through so many blogs and forum i have realised that i need a Custom Firware to run ISO games. I downloaded the 4.01 M33 – 2 but whenever i try to run the update it gives me the following error message” The game couldnot be started. ( 80020148). Can anyone help?

    Official Firmware, 4.01
    Please help me, how to put custom firmware, as in there is loads of sites in the web showing so, but i m confused,
    i have tried putting CFW as shows on this site, but after booting, its showing error,
    Its not bricked, as i canp lay games thru original games thru UMD, please guid me how to downgrade my PSP, so tht I can play games on My memory stick.
