Put the download into your update folder and goto your memory card the same way you’d play your isos/backups. its should be right there.

@huh – you can’t go from 3.73 official firmware (OFW) to 3.80 M33 custom firmware. Best option is to use a Pandora battery/ Magic memory Stick combo to downgrade your PSP to 3.71 M33-2 Custom firmware (CFW) then follow the instructions in the 3.80 M33 readme to install it. Also if you don’t know about the Pandora battery I suggest reading through forums like AfterDawn and MaxConsole HEAVILY to get the information you require.

    P.S. DARK_ALEX ROCKS!!!!!! LONG LIVE DARK_ALEX AND THE M33 TEAM !!!

its quite simple, you must be on cfw to do this. grab the official 3.80 fw from sony site. Rename it to 380.PBP Download the 3.80M33 file, open it drag the update folder to desktop. Drop the 380.PBP file into the update folder. Connect PSP on usb. Goto PSP\GAME\ and drop your update folder there, overwriting when asked. Disconnect usb. Start 3.80 M33 and update. Press when finally finished to reboot. All Done! Check system info to verify 3.80 M33. Your done. Congrats

added note to what duder said…you have to access the update from the Game menu on your PSP (just trying to be as helpful as possible so don’t take it as an insult if you already knew) Also your battery has to be charged to at least 78% and leave your adaptor plugged in during the installation.

Seems to work great so far. Internet radio is very cool. I was hopeing that Sony would have updated POPS so FF VIII would work better, but it still crashes a lot. All my homebrew still works.

I have PSP Slim with 3.72 Official Firmware, so I have tried to install latest 3.80 M33 Custom Firmware but once I start installing it gives me Error message saying “ The game could not be started ( 80020148 )” but recovery mode don’t work to set NO-UMD. Is it possible to Install 3.80 M33 without Pandora Battery onto 3.72 OFW
