PSP Homebrew Developer Shibisukee has released a small plugin for CFW 3.71 M33. This plug-in allows you to under-clock the PSP CPU to 60Mhz and turn of the screen when you put it the PSP on hold. Handy for playing MP3 files and reducing battery drain. Much like LightMP3 which was posted earlier.

Homebrew developer F Metal Alchemist has just released the english version of his homebrew app that hides your psp’s files. You can choose to hide different sections of your psp like the music, video, or picture section and it’s all straight from your xmb. Here are the controls:

Zx-81 has released an update to PSPBEEB. For those who haven’t seen previous versions, BeebEm is a famous emulator of the BBC Micro computer series running on both windows and unix. (see beebem) Originally developed for UNIX systems in 1994 by David Alan Gilbert, it was then ported to windows by Richard Gellman and Mike Wyatt in 1997. At the start of October 2005, David Eggleston started porting the current Windows version of BeebEm (version 2.3) to FreeBSD.

Homebrew developer Sakya has just released a quick bug-fix for LightMp3. LightMp3 is a lightweight battery saving audio player for the Playstation Portable. This update fixes the FLAC bug, so you can now enjoy listening to your favourite FLAC files. Also added was the use of the analog stick to change options.

Homebrew developer Zx-81 has released an update to PSPAtari, the Atari 800, 800XL, 130XE and 5200 series emulator for the Playstation portable. Major changes include, all render modes now utilize the PSP’s GU for smooth rendering. Plus the Analog pad can now be used in the file requester.

Homebrew developer SofiyaCat has released an updated to PSPTube. If you haven’t seen the other posts, PSPTube allows users with an a Wifi internet connection to watch streaming videos from YouTube on thier PSP.
This latest PSPTube release supports the playback of Stage6 DivX videos. And also a bunch of bug fixes and a new playlist function.
Impaler has updated his Mulit PSX eBoot Creator, this update features a new preview screen of the Eboot and an about screen. Its a Windows .Net application so you will need the required Microsoft framework downloads.
PSPVICE v1.1 C64 Emulation on PSP Slim.
Commodore 64 Emulation is now possible on the PSP slim and 3.71 M33 thanks to the efforts of Martypsp. He has recompiled Christophe and the VICE team’s PSPVICE v1.1. Nothing is new or lost just added PSP slim / 3.71 M33 compatibility.

PSP homebrew developer Slasher from Team Duck has released a new version of his homebrew game “EatEm” now called Orbid. The basic goal is to eat all of the other glowing orbs, and of course you also play as a glowing orb. The new release includes different game modes and a completely original soundtrack. This game boasts good graphics and great addicting fun. So download it now…
Note: The game runs in 3.xx kernel but it is recommended that you use eloader as the music doesn’t function properly when running in 3.xx

Fancy at least 9 hours Mp3 playback on a Standard PSP battery? Well Homebrew developer sakya has the answer for you. Just released is an update to LightMP3. This homebrew is a lightweight audio player for the PSP designed to save battery life, giving you more hours of music enjoyment. Its reported that with the brightness set to minimum you can expect at least 9 hours of music playback from a standard fully charged “original” PSP battery. The newest version features support for FLAC and ATRAC3 playback (*.aa3, *.omg, *.oma) via Media Engine as well as a bunch of other fixes and additions. See the changelog below:
